Running With The Buffaloes is a great running book. Makes you want to go out and blaze a 16 miler. A Must read for a runner.
i think i came across a book somewhere online that was about an 800m runner at the 2000 oly trials ... anyone know of the book? it was fictional like once a runner.

The book is Slinger Sanchez: Running Gun
Excellent read. I suggest it.
Daniels Book!!
I just got a hold of Marty Liquori's autobio from 1978. Not the best organized piece of writing, but the descriptions of races, race tactics, and dirty tactics are very very good. A great eye opener for the possibilities and psychologies of racing.
Check the link for Once a Runner...
I also had trouble finding Once A Runner. I went to Barnes and Noble and they ordered me a copy.
Marc Bloom.. check link.
Joe Newton... check link.
