Harsh words but the 1:40 guy likely knows best

That is not a quote from Rudisha.
Why would his physical ability to run 1:40 mean that he knows best?
Maybe the 1:40 guy should have had a talk with the 43.45 guy before he did that.
"However, in his semi-final at the trials earlier on Thursday, Rudisha ran a massively impressive 1:43.34, the fastest 800m time of 2016, putting him well on track to secure one of Kenya’s three qualifying berths for Rio, and with that defend the Olympic title he won in world-record style in London four years ago, when he clocked that incredible 1:40.91 world record."
What a horrible sentence

Right, it's an obvious quote from the coach. It's more likely the coach would comment on physical strength.

The entire article is poorly written. Is English a foreign language in Ireland?

Mistake.

Well yes technically it is. Ireland is not part of England; Gaelic is the official national language of Ireland.
Colm O'Connell has coached two 1:41 runners but he has to be clean because he's a monk.

The beard finally speaks the truth.
It is very telling the OP is a 'real' Ameican and lacks understanding of English! It is only in America that the above quote has sort of the same meaning as someone "mentally unfit to stand trial" or "mentally unstable". Of course that would be an insult to Rudisha. The rest of the world calls that "mad". As for what he means is that Rudisha has not been mentally tough for sometime which is understandable considering he has not shown for sometime the same kind of fire he had between 2009 and 2012. so OP, bring down your sensational post.

You can pause your brain after each comma.
That might make the sentence more intelligible to you?
Bro Colm with Rudisha this morning at the Kip Keino stadium in Eldoret.

Why is all the text in that picture mirrored? Is this the effect of being close to the equator?
I'd have to believe the whole pic is mirrored and not just the text.

Not harsh. Coach was saying that he doesn't know if he is or if he isn't mentally prepared. The two of them have not been in touch recently.

RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
