That would require actual work...and from what I've seen from Symmonds (outside of running) work isn't really his thing.

He got fat and slow and is now peddling a story about being injured. He saw the writing on the wall in China and made little attempt to get healthy.
He posted a couple shots of him fishing on instagram. Doesn't seem like it's conducive to getting healthy.
Yes. It's a TERRIBLE idea for an elite athlete to take downtime with the incredibly difficult sport of sitting on a boat catching fish. I'm sure that made it worse.
Hasn't Symmonds always been bigger than most mid-D guys? Why all the sudden are you guys saying he got fat and that led to a stress fracture? It seems to me this the first year he's struggled with injuries. And at 32 I'd say a decade of elite running injury free is pretty good. Better than Hall which someone in this thread tried to compare him to.
