2) I don't know why so many people assume I'm calling Zuck a hypocrite and am taking the conservative viewpoint on this. Do people not see the question mark after hypocrite?? I'm trying to get you to think (and make money half a penny at a time. Click bait baby).
One of the LetsRun.com co-founders voted for Bernie during this election cycle. Stop assuming you know our political idealogy.
Then stop being such a doooshbag. And promise to never troll your own board again under fake names.
Zuck makes money, runs a business of consequence, and is a billionaire.
Trump does/is none of these, but he is a laughing stock.
No hypocrisy.....
Liberals want higher taxes for everyone but do everything they can to avoid paying the highest rate. Liberals are very generous with other peoples money but do not come close to the amount of donations in terms of dollars of personal money that conservatives donate. They complain about walls but build them for their personal security (Zuckerburg/Vatican) etc. I could go on all day but whatever
So far most liberals here have said it's okay for Zuckerberg to hold himself to a different standard than the rest of the American people because he's a billionaire. This is coming from liberals! What a world we live in.

Is it really that hard to see the difference between a public entity and a private one?

Zuck is not packing everywhere he goes. He hires PROFESSIONALS. People who actually know what they are doing with a gun, as it is the way they make their living.

I'm just creating an interesting discussion for the message board and trying to get people to think.
Why is it 'wrong' to build a wall around your country but fine to do it around your house?
The fact that you can't distinguish between someone's private property and an international border between two nation states shouldn't surprise me given some of your equally asinine previous posts, but here we are.
By "creating an interesting discussion", I assume you mean "flamebait to get more clicks since it's easier than generating worthwhile content." Though it obviously got me to click, so kudos to you.

Yes. If you oppose building a fence on moral (not financial) grounds as Zuck does, then build your own, you're a hypocrite. It's hilarious to see liberals, of all people defending this.

Zuck is more worried about defending himself from other Americans, rather than immigrants from the South who are headed to the US to WORK.
Did Zuckerberg ever call his neighbors rapists and criminals? Does the Zuckerberg home count as its own independent country?
Is this a serious question? Are you trolling? Do you know what an analogy is?
I doubt Zuckerberg's decision--along with that of every other billionaire who barricades their wealth behind walls--will have the same geopolitical consequences that building a wall around a COUNTRY will.
Not that we shouldn't build a wall, or that we don't have a problem with drug trafficking, etc. It's just that the analogy you're making is such a reach. It's the kind of stuff cheap, gotcha media do all the time to grab headlines (See: FOX News, TMZ, MSNBC). It's really journalism 101. But you guys would know that if you gave a crap about quality instead of output.

That would bring an end to the mental exercise an ivy leaguer started. Good thing those ivy league schools produce so many adults with rigorous logic and reasoning... Oh, wait.
Also, to Limousine Liberal, I though America was all about freedom? This guy wants to build giant walls around his giant house and hire people to "protect" him from other rich people, it seems like he should be able to do that, within reason.
Because Mark Z. building a wall won't affect our international relationships.

Honest tip, trying to be helpful: Work on your comebacks, you're almost as bad as Tyrone ReXXXing.
Glad to be helpful as well. If you are going to post one stupid thing after another try to change up your handle now and then. That way people may continue to read the drivel that you post rather than just skip over it as obviously worthless.

What's all this fuzz about the "American people"? Why can't they eat cake?

Zuck also created one of the biggest tax dodge in America by having Facebook routed through Ireland. And let's not even talk about how many taxes he will avoid with his stock shift to a "philanthropy".
Seems like Zuck wants all the benefits of America, just not the responsibilities.

Blue states pay far more in taxes than they take, zuckerburg has paid more in taxes than you ever will in 1000 lifetimes, most of conservative "donations" go to churches who mostly hoard the money or only help their own kind (i.e. Mormons ), I could go on all day but whatever

You're seriously asking this question -w hy does he run with a security detail? Because he's worth billions and is concerned for his safety and having a security detail costs him virtually nothing.

It's a rhetorical question wejo.
Best I can tell, objections to border walls are:
1. It won't work
2. It's mean/divisive/racist/xenophobic or whatever
3. It costs too much
1. Walls work. We build them all the time. Around prisons, businesses, and houses like Zuck's. Are they perfect? Of course not. And if you build it and walk away, it will crumble and be ineffective. But that's not what we are talking about. Some may buy a 13 foot ladder if we build a 12 foot wall, but it certainly is more of a deterrent than a wide open border like we have.
2. If you don't believe in open borders, some controls are necessary. If you believe in restricting immigration AT ALL, why not this? Why isn't the checkpoint at the US-Mexico border mean and divisive? Shouldn't we let anyone in freely?
3. Come on. Compared to the staggering costs of Medicare, Social Security and defense spending, this would be drop in the bucket.
