Wonder what former William and Mary standout Pete Breckenridge is doing these days? I haven't heard much of him running wise since winning the JFK 50 Miler in like 2006.

2) The first thought that popped into my head is, "Woudl Alex Gibby" want to return? There were a NCAA level program when he was there.
An email has been sent out to the entire program. I would rather not release that, but I'm sure something will come out soon.

Why not? I doubt an email has 'secret' information. People change jobs all the time, particularly in the coaching profession.

It's disrespectful, stop being so invasive and give Walsh some privacy. I've never been a big fan of Walsh, but have the common decency to not ask kids on his team to make private emails public on a message board.
Just wait a day or two for a press release, or for the job to be posted online.

It's about time. It is not that he damaged the program--there are a lot of cases where good coaches have bad fits with a school--it is HOW he damaged the program that has bothered me for a long time. He verbally berated a former runner of mine for asking to shut her cross season down because her shins were hurting. While she asked him in private, he waits until the entire team was around to call her weak and uncommitted, making this poor sophomore cry. She runs in the conference meet and drops out at 1K, he dumps her from the team with loss of scholarship. Turns out she had a full fibular fracture--not stress fracture. He lost one of several NCAA challenges there. I complained to the AD about that one and he didn't give a flip.
Good luck taking those people skills into any other profession.

This is how news breaks nowadays. Don't act like anything needs to be run through some sort of media filter before we can be made aware.
If it turns out to be false, I doubt Walsh will in any way be offended or even care that a rumor got started.
It it turns out being true, then the discussion of what happens next for the program, or even just reacting to the news itself, is fair game.
No one's feelings should be hurt by what has been stated on this thread.
