Tom
Nice words Tom, it sure is a nice way to make a life. And if you're simply working to pay the bills you can train a lot harder in your off time than most people would think. There are a lot of people running 14:06 sorta times on a full time work schedule.
Amen and double amen.
You're not going pro because 14:06 isn't fast enough to go pro.
since when does 14:06 land you a pro contract??????? lol...
Holy f*cking shit, this website is... wow, just filled with sleuths, ever think about working with the FBI on some unsolved cases? i think we can probably solve quiet a few of them

I am very under trained but with the state of the sport I'm choosing adult life over pursuing a professional contract.
You're not going pro because you wouldn't even qualify for NCAA DI Regionals...

14:06 is noteworthy if you are a woman or a master's man. End of story.
Sexism and ageism exists in Track and Field to an extent not seen in almost any other profession. If the OP was a woman, he would be made a millionaire from the sport. As it is he cannot even earn a living from the sport. Shame on race organizers and IAAF for allowing the the sport to become this way.
Ahhh thanks doge. You have a connect for me?
