Word on the street is that Tsegay's connection for both meldonium and Jama Juice has dried up, so World Jr's might actually be a competitive race.

The fact that the WJR for this event is 3:51 is just laughable. Honestly, it's embarrassing that those marks are allowed to stay in the record books.
I love it when people post about concepts that they have no knowledge of. In america we think that signing a pro contract means that you should never run against anyone other than pros. It is a long held belief that goes back to the concept of amateurism. A concept that died because it does not work in a capitalistic society. If a person can provide a value to a company, then that company pays for it.
The Ethiopian's and Kenyan's who have kicked our a$$e$ for years, develop through the junior systems. No American has ever won a medal in the 1500m at the World Junior Championships. Is that because of the transition to the NCAA system or underdevelopment of our athletes in the k-12 system. We coddle under the premise of long term development.

Yeah, all those coddled U.S. sprinters, throwers and jumpers getting schooled by Ethios and Kenyans who didn't get held back by K-12/NCAA. Owait...
