Just absolutely ripping. 30:51 this morning...too fit, too early? Or, might Rio be her finest moment?

A 10k tells you very little about someone's marathon fitness.

It tells you her training is going great.

It was an American record, you imbecile.
wrong: 10k correlates better with marathon than half marathon does.
Shalane's pr is 30:22, but she must be very fit to do this on the road now.
I thought this was a Tsarnaev-copy cat thing from the subject line.
Glad to find out everyone is okay.

Are you kidding, or is there actually something to this? I always get a little nervous when I see someone PRing at shorter events heading into a marathon, but for Flanagan I think the issue is that she really hasn't run that many half marathons or 10ks while in top shape, so it's probably easier for her to PR in these tune-up races even in the midst of marathon training.
If she is following the approach of getting her speed in place before emphasizing marathon specific training, I think she's alright. I'd be more apprehensive if she scorched a 10k 2 weeks before the marathon.
That headline is not funny or appropriate.
Beautiful morning to run in Boston today.
Her and Ritz are on the good juice now apparently.

I sure hope this works for her but it hasn't in the past. I remember her saying that she felt flat for,the Boston Marathon having run a solid 10k at the Stanford Invite a few weeks prior. Another year she walked away from the Boston Marathon disappointed after setting an AR for 15k at Gate Rive a month earlier.
Oh well, Go USA

Cocaine is a hellava drug.
no, there's absolutely no way this is true. that's like saying someone's 800m determines someone's 5k better than their 1500m.
on the topic, the only thing that can be considered is the lack of SPECIFIC ENDURANCE.. which is reserved for the actual marathon, not the 10k or half.

Tells U a lot.

There were no 'bombs' that went off in boston, real that is. It was one of the biggest false flag, staged attacks ever aside from 9/11 and the sleeping sheep i.e., the American and world public bought it hook, line and sinker. There were more crisis actors in that event I have lost count and there is more proof that it was staged now than ever.
Found a kook!
Don't bother replying.
Roads are different than the track. A 10K can be a indicator of marathon potential. 30:51 equals 2:23 for the marathon.

So a race that burns nearly 100% carbs tells you a lot about a race that is closer to 55/45?
What's it yell you about you about how her body responds to fuel? Muscle damage? Dehydration?
Wasn't it Canova that said a HM tells you more about 5k fitness than marathon? This is a freaking 10k.
Without an extensive recap of her training, it doesn't say a thing.
And if she is like one of money who build speed before going into marathon specific work, she hasn't gone into her heavy, marathon workouts. And without those, she's not in marathon shape, yet even though she could be on schedule, training-wise.
