Miller has 1.25 miles left.
JW is about finished. He has now taken over 2 and one half hours to travel 3.5 miles between aid stations.
Jim has fallen to fifth now.
at some point he should of realized (culpability) he was off the course, shouldn't of taken 40 minutes of running to figure this out for a experience trail runner?......., doesn't the course have route markings?
AM has 1.25 miles to go for victory. Watch the streaming finish:
What is with all the clicking/typing on the finish line webcam?

We know because he has to reach the next aid station on his own. If received help he would still be in first.
Maybe he actually blew up, had to stop, then actually cut the course to try to make up time. Only he gets lost and it backfires. So he lies and says he ran 40 minutes extra. Since there do not seem to be any race officials and key turns late in the race how would we ever know?
The entire event should be considered scrapped at this point. No real Western States this year, I'm afraid.
its not the web cam scroll up there is a live chat / feed and it sounds lol

Use the Youtube feed. Click free.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVU9a2ByptQFrom the tweets by irunfar, it was race officials who said he took about a 40 minute detour. Didn't sound like Jim had a clue. He was wandering aimlessly and still hasn't hit the next aid station.

he was not running when he was off course, at some point he was standing with his shoes off and a car pulled up and someone else, a third party took a photo, who knows what was going on, did he bonk before, during, or after he got lost?
depending on pace Miller should be finishing in the next 4-5 mins.
Sound is on! On the track!
What a race. Poor JW.
Miller looks great at the finish. Me knows how to run. Just 20 years old. Amazing.
get that kid a chair! and a nearbeer
JW is back in 7th, Sage is about to pass him apparently.
What a race. The young Miller looks pretty fresh.
Sage is not a hundred mile guy. Stick to your niche man

This will get more "kids" into 100 mile races. Apparently you don't need a lifetime of training to be good at 100 miles.
little kaci will win too wrote:
