He posted a workout on his sweat account today.
1200TT 2:50.6 with a 54.8 last lap.
Full recovery
400 controlled in 56.6
600 controlled in 1:24.5
This guy is looking better than ever! Will definitely be rooting for him at the trials.

If he runs smart he will be on the Rio Team.
Yeah. Ford also did repeat 800s in like 1:51-2 a couple weeks ago. He's ran 3:38/9 consistently this year. None of the NYNJ guys are going to be serious contenders in the 15.
Hope so. Always liked the Merb.
That's pretty good considering he was dogging 300m repeats a few weeks ago.
The guy tries wayyyy too hard to be "cool"
No way that workout was done.

For what it is worth Vdot charts put 2:50.6 at 3:36isg for 1500(equivalent performance) so I wouldnt bet against him being back in 3:34 shape in a rabbitted time trial.
I'm rooting for him to make the team. Hard to tell coming off of injury though.

Please Kiprop is running a 2:47 1200m at altitude as part of a workout
Semi-finals at best. None of these guys have proven they can run rounds other than Centro, Andrews and Manzano. Manzano appears to be shot thought.

Wow. I guess we need to seriously consider that Asbel Kiprop might be better than Kyle Merber. Maybe even a LOT better. You heard it here first.
Kiprop has a PR nine seconds faster for 1500, but runs three seconds faster for 1200. I'm stumped.
It's not the fact that I don't like the conceited prick I just don't think he has it in him to be an Olympian.
Looks like he already ran his Olympic Trials race... in training.

Well done.
Daniels tables are not remotely reliable for that duration.
A safe bet is 2:50.6 1200 is worth 3:38 1500m; this will
get Merber into the final.
Injury can be a blessing in disguise
My boy Merbs gettin it done
No way. wrote:
