It's a sad commentary on the public education system. I'm sure Trump will fix it.

A while?
You mean less than a year. He ran 27:08 last year at Worlds. That's definitely worth 26:40s in good weather.
How? With Galen's example. He will run 1:59 next year, and then get a new 5k PR in 2018 while in marathon training.
Then you Nike haters will have to apologize. Galen - GOAT - Paula - clean. The evidence is clear.

1:59 for 800m is not very good.
Rupp to get reductions next
Paula is the biggest fraud in TnF next to Ma Juren's Chinese runners in '93-97.
1:59 is SLOW wrote:

Try to keep up. We were talking about setting a new world record in the marathon, and then getting a new PR over 5k. That is quite normal!

Except Radcliffe beat all their times.
I think Rupp will be fine. But how cool is it for Knight and Kincaid to get the scalp of a near-prime Galen Rupp? Very probably a career highlight for both.

Two weeks before his 26:44, he lost to Collis Birmingham in 13:2x and was DONE.

If you want to be good at 26.2, you don't want to be in good 5000 shape.
Everyone can stop freaking out now.

Maybe . though if he's a serious contender for the 10 000m, he should've crushed these guys in this time .. Kamworor just ran what? And we know what kinda 1/2M shape he's been in.
A lot of guys are waiting as long as possible to peak. All of the people jealous of Rupp at this point provide nothing but hilarity.

No. He passed him in the last 100 meters.
I stated earlier that I thought Rupp would win the 10 at the trials and likely make top 3 in the 5000.
Got taken to task for that! And yes, if you are doing marathon training you might have a rough hall over that last 600 of the high level 5000 race. In particular the critical last 150....
I still pick Rupp to ace the 10 at the trials however.
It is a good question, if you train for 2 events, how's it going to get you to the podium in either?
Maybe he is very tired from heavy training and doesn't have the speed yet in a slow race. But he was also going about 10k pace. Good result from Brian Shrader, Knight, and Kincaid. I'm surprised to see Jenkins back so far in this race. I would have thought he'd clean up in a race like this, but maybe he is also not fresh from training.

I bet you have to go to study hall a lot to work on your spelling.
You are a MORON. You are an idiot.
Please have a nice day with your tiny cerebral cortex.
wow, a bunch of guys from the same team not racing sharp at the same meet two weeks before the trials. What does that say? They are ALL done? yep probably.....Boys, they trained through it. centro. rupp. levins. jenkins etc etcwake up. keep speculating, but at least acknolwedge the most obvious explanation first

I was out in 102 heat index today. It's going to be a low of 82 tonight. I'd be psyched to run in 78/48.

I'm from the south. This is AMAZING.
