What you bring to the table dictates what kind of results you'll get. This is a two-way street. Just my experience.

Middle aged and middle class brother in law and sister in law met on E-harmony or something like that.
Met my wife on Yahoo Personals in 1996. We've been happily married since 2000.
Met my wife on OKcupid. She had a couple pictures up running for her college and I had a running pic up so it was a natural conversation starter. From the first date she was perfect for me and super easy going and never any drama. Been together 5 years now and married for a year and a half.
Bumble. As with any app or site, your selection will really depend on the area you live in. I live in a well-educated, tech-savvy area so I was more apt to find higher quality selections. None of this is foolproof and you're simply wanting to filter out the chaff, and as a rule the apps and sites will tend to be a strong draw for the most desperate. So proceed with that in mind. You can find a gem, I did, but be ready to deal with a lot of nonsense from women whose quirks and baggage routinely turn off men they've met throughout their adult lives. We are highly visual as a species and these sites and apps cater to that, so don't let your eyes be the chief or final judge.
Hey. Getting to know real singles

Trying the dating site thing to get back in the game after divorce. A lot of false hope there but have had a few good conversations and one date that went ok but no fireworks. Seems like 3 categories. 1. Nasty hoes not smart enough to use their words. 2. Very demanding types that expect a guy to just step up and fill a father role without much courtship. 3. Some actual hot chicks that don't respond. I think these are decoys created by the dating site company.
What experiences have you had?
It worked for me. 3 month active search. We live together for 5 years and are married for one.
But I 100% agree with the OP. There seem to be a lot of very entitled women looking for the right guy which more often than not is about the $$.
Met my wife on match.com. married 5 years with a kid.
I had a very good experience using match but had no interest in sites like plentyoffish or tinder. Too much like a meat market.
I found my last love on Terrace House.

Yes! Married for 12½ years and now I have found a new love and hope for marriage with her.
Met my SO online 10 years ago. We both had been married 20+ years and divorced for a couple of years. We are both academics, but at universities 100 miles apart and in different disciplines. Both of us had two grown kids long gone from home. We both had very stable lives but were willing to adapt to a new situation.
Online is hard, but it is possible.

What about sex?
hi
I didn't have a lot of luck with tinder or match, though there were some really good hookups. It wasn't until I tried FarmersOnly that I met much better women and eventually, my wife. The sex was much better with the women on FarmersOnly, too.
A guy that lived in my neighborhood did. He's been reported missing since 2013. Good luck!
I personally know two successful stories when people met on a dating site, and their relations developed into marriage.
