Met my wife's best friend using online dating.
After a couple of dates she wasn't in to me, but thought I would be good for her best friend.
Been married 10 years, still trying to figure out how to get the threesome going with the both of them.

Maybe this doesn't count, but it was pretty close. I dated Katy Perry online for years. I proposed and we almost got married. However, in the end, there was a little problem and it didn't work out.

Get on that. They aren't getting any younger.

I met my girlfriend online and now live together. I was very lucky. Smart, beautiful, funny and quite fast (sub 18 5k). It was my pic in split shorts that lored her in.
Obviously not your spelling skills
Met my wife online ( http://www.asiandate.com/ ). I had always been after Asian ladies. You know, she takes care of herself and stays fit and acts like a girl.
Back in the early 2000s I was paid by a certain online dating company to keep male users using the services. I actually went out with a few, but nothing came of it. It was scary how desperate some were.
I tried online dating but didn't have much luck, two dates and both of them were kind of... odd.
I ended up meeting my wife through mutual friends on Facebook. Just sent her a message and started talking for a few days before we started dating, worked out wonderfully!

Nor your punctuation skills.

Is this actually true? If so, it's pretty funny and do you think it's still being done?
I met my wife online on the old Yahoo Personals. Been married for 10 years, together for 14.
First woman I met in real life, after connecting on a dating site, is my wife. She is the best.
It can work but it is a crapshoot. It might take 20 first dates before you get anywhere. And just to get 20 dates you need to message about 500+ on tinder, bumble, etc.
A lot of them are dumb and low class.
You have to treat the whole thing like a game or else you'll go crazy. When it comes to online dating, if If you have a batting average of 0.005 or betteryou're actually doing pretty well
It's true. I'm not sure if they still do it now. I did it for about a year. We were given a list each week of people to correspond with. You were told to keep it informal and try to stretch the online conversations out. I had three profiles that I used. It was pretty entertaining sometimes.

This is the case for guys.
A good technique is to download bumble, tinder, match, & hinge cell phone apps and just start casting bait. Get a date each and every weekend. You can get 2-3 per weekend if u play it right. Most of the time it will end after just a coffee date or first meet up . Don't sweat it. This is very likely when it comes to online dating. But you'll also have some good sex and good experiences. Just don't let the woman shack up with you until you're sure what kind of person she is and of course whether you like her, etc
I met my wife on Plenty of Fish. I know a few others who have met online.
People who say that it's a lot of wading through garbage aren't wrong, but how is that any different than a bar or anywhere else?
I got really serious about a girl I met online, but she came down with leukemia and then died in a car accident.
Online dating is about hookups, and so is regular dating. Even women who say they aren't into hooking up are basically out to hook up. Just maybe not with you. Even women who want to get married. If a hook-up doesn't happen fairly soon then probably nothing's gonna happen anyway. I have hooked up with a few women from online and meeting in person. The most recent one seems to be evolving into a relationship despite me. This wasn't how I expected it to happen but funny how things seem to work out. My friendships with women where I slowly developed feelings only ever ended in disappointment and frustration.
I think you need to let go of the slow romance fantasy and get ok with hooking up. Experience a few bad hookups and and a few good ones. If a woman you hook up with likes you enough (and one eventually will) believe me you'll have a hard time getting away from her.

if this is your return rate, you are either ugly or terrible at banter
why did this thread stopped? It's interesting to read your dating stories

Did you list the Lure of Running by Noakes as your favorite book?
Why would you use a dating site. They are majority male so you willingly put the ratios in your disfavor as a male. Most females are actually doing activities around you so there is where you should be looking
