Anybody think the massive pressure and life-defining moments in only a few weeks might effect his performance at the trials? I would not be surprised if the 19 year old kid didn't make the final or ran very poorly.
Hopefully he stays at Texas A&M with the group that's been working for him
I expect him to make the final but I don't think he will win. He is a superstar. This is the right move for him. He would also be smart to stay with his current coaches and finish school.
Pay this kid well! He deserves it.
What a crazy day in track and field!
"After the race, Brazier said he was likely focusing on U.S. Juniors and staying in the NCAA system. Since then, his family has become significantly more involved in his decision-making."
mama wants to get PAID too. she raised him.

What could go wrong?

Nice. Hopefully they're getting some great advise in these threads!!
Braziers, Don't let the trash talk fool you! We're all fans!!
Heard he was signing with Mark Wetmore? The same athlete who has been peddling a Dibaba that was part of the bust in Spain today? Greaaaaat.
Maybe he can hook up with Tyson Gay's pharmacist.
Even if he tanks the rest of the season, the time for him to lock into a contract is NOW. It will set him up for life.

Lol!! Best case scenario he gets $150k/yr based on Berian's contract. And even that is being overly optimistic. Unless he can run 1:43 every year for 15 years this will not set him up for life. It's clear he and his family are looking for the quick money without thinking about the fact that a lot can go wrong that can derail his career. And now that he's pro it can be assured his degree will be in burger flipping.
What was his degree going to be even if he had stayed in college? Sociology? Do you think that he could major in computer science or engineering as a college athlete? He needs to strike while the iron is hot. He's not going to get a $100k+ starting job with any college bachelor's.
You have not been paying attention. Reliable estimates of his contract value are in the $2 million range. He is not Boris Berian.

Lol $2 million
Why does Brazier deserves so much money? He only has one great performance so fast.

Duh. But remember what got him to this point...his college training.....

This bothers me. There are plenty of highly successful college athletes that are more than capable of majoring in engineering or computer science. My teammate at Arkansas was a multi time NCAA champ, and yet was aces in pre-med. He is now a successful orthopedic surgeon.
At least he knows that contract reductions are not customary or normal at all show companies:)
