Exactly what did the Gouchers go to USADA with?
If I knew what the Gouchers knew I would kelp my mouth shut. - When you have a beef with superman, you don't pull on his cape, if you don't have kryptonite...leave it alone. Also, the Gouchers were so connected to the NOP program that it is hard to believe they didn't know more unless and was not in on it.

This is a prevalent theme in modern athletics.
1) Identify who is kicking your butt;
2) Accuse them of doping;
3) Increase your accusations when they are found to be clean;
4) Inside investigators will miraculously find them to be dirty and ban them;
5) Especially when they're from some strange foreign country.

Not "miraculously". It's because they are dirty

Hopefully this will set off a big wave of drug busts and clean things up a bit
I don't know what the Gouchers reported nor do I know whether they were in on whatever has - or has not - occurred at NOP. Time will tell. But, the fact of the matter is that your post explains, in part, why people don't come forward. People say I don't have 100% proof positive, I don't want to be raked over the coals, I am (in hindsight) worried about a "vitamin" I took years ago - who knows.
But if no one talks, we never know the truth.
How did Travis Tygert build the case against Lance? In part, by getting people who had heard and seen - and yes maybe participated - in suspicious or illegal conduct to cooperate. Having conducted many criminal and civil investigations, this is how you build a case - you get info from lower level folks, then gradually work up the chain to your target.
To be clear, I am not saying that the Gouchers or Magness doped/ participated in doping. I am saying that the sport ultimately is better off if people report what they believe to be suspicious conduct. USADA, WADA, criminal authorities, etc. can then conduct and investigation. If there is nothing, so be it. But, at the end of the day, as a former securities fraud prosecutor, I'll take a whistleblower - even an imperfect one - any day of the week.
For what it is worth, David T. says he supports Goucher and Magness:
@letsrundotcom I 100% support what @karagoucher @stevemagness have done.

Downhill miler? Not too sure about that claim given that he was the first American to get the A standard in the 1500 (yes I know he's running for Peru, but that race was before he found that out)...he's run 3:33 low and his 3:36.0 was 1. a win (his 3:33 was not a win and was in Rieti), and 2. in mid May. Definitely not downhill as he's also broken 13:20 for 5k a couple times (one of which was this season). I think he's looked good this season and could drop some serious time from what he's run so far this year.

Google Torrence & "downhill mile," before you say anything more.

You forget that they all DID go to USADA....in 2013. And nothing happened.
What do you expect? NOP did get tested a lot.
The thing is testing doesn't even catch those dope A LOT (can't even get the known Russian dopers in the previous Olympics even at re-tests years afterwards) much less the micro-dosing NOPers.
Funny Hasay and Centro are the 2 athletes I think would never even consider doping just from talking with them. I'd wager money those 2 are clean unless someone spiked their health food without them knowing.
Let's use a better word than "snitch," ok?
Try something like "whistleblower" or "hero."
But its like...Torrence is the GOLDEN snitch
