I don't understand why people care about doping so much. Every althlete, since the Nazis invented amphetamines, has doped. To me, only an idiot wouldn't dope. Winners dope. Losers don't. This is just a fact. It's that simple. A large part of human intelligence is about being resourceful in this life. You do what you must to put food on the table, to survive, to win. This is a dog eats dog world and it truely is "survival of the fittest". A resourceful person uses his surroundings to achieve his goals and to increase the liklihood of survival.
And the reality is that PEDs don't create Olympic athletes. They simply enhance one's genetic ability. But not massively. You still have to work extraordinarily hard to be an Olympian. You also have to have premium DNA. PEDs will do absolutely nothing for most of the population. I don't think people fully understand how PEDs work. They simply make you a better verision of yourself. But if you were crappy to begin with, you're always going to be crappy.
It's like when I took Adderall before my MCAT. I boosted my score from a 36 to 38, which frankly is the difference between going to Harvard Medical and not going to Harvard Medical. Did I cheat? No way. I studied my ass off for a year straight. I was simply being resourceful. And I now make more money, am more successful, and have a ridiculously hot wife, all because I took a little blue pill. So of this is true, then only a moron wouldn't take Adderall before taking fhe MCAT.
People that are high achievers are always going to be pushing the envelope to win. They'll do what they must to be the best. But to the say that these people cheated is just ridiculous.
Man, it used to be standard practice for Olympic athletes to do a couple lines of booger sugar before their events. We've come a long ways since those days. We've never had so little cheating in the history of humanity. The world has never been more fair. And people that think athletes in the past didn't cheat are delusional.
