You seem like you'd rather be right and the state of track and field be in poor shape than be wrong and the incredible be real. I'm all for busting cheaters, but doesn't being gleeful about it kind of make you an asshoIe?

The thing is is that pro runners seemed to be like 80% sure of this and had heard things about this, and what trickled down to die-hard fans made it seem like there was a good chance these people were cheating. Being happy about this is yes, good and bad, but what this means after the Russians is that this could mean so much more for the sanctity of the sport. Anything to clean up the sport now. Hopefully Aden gets a lifetime ban and what would be amazing now would be if athletes came forward to help expose even more dopers.
We know they're out there, now we just need to get them. And this was a big first step.
I find it curious that Farah secluded himself in The Pyrenees, after training with Aden's group this last Feb in Ethiopia and again previously when there was the whole Driouch scandal. I'm hoping that Aden comes clean about everything: Farah, Makhloufi, Soulieman, Dibaba...all of it.
big step yes
the important thing here is the Dibabas...while we've seen many distance runners caught and banned...not a huge number of medalist type distance runners. (leaving out the &^*^%*ing Russians.)
if the dibabas are are punished that would be a major step forward. Ethopia will howl and rage, so it will be hard, but we'll see.
I wonder if this was coordinated with anti-doping - I wonder if they immediately took blood or urine samples from the athletes as Aden was being arrested. I hope so.

The hotel where Jama Aden and his athletes stay in whilst training in Spain, Sabadell (close to Andorra) has been raided by the police. Apparently IAAF alerted the police.
An Mo Farah is just a few kilometers away from Andorra in Font-Romeu in France. Andorra is a tiny country and a prime smuggling location.

That number sounds about right for Alberto and NOTHING.
Spanish cops be racist, yo.

Makhloufi. Too afraid of Souleiman.

Don't get so excited everyone. Aden is reporting that the EPO was his personal medication for which he had a prescription. He also reported that he did test the EPO on his son, who is not an athlete, so he would know how much it took to test postive. Don't worry, this was done only to prevent sabotage by competitors.
It was also reported that Aden was shipping prescription medications to this athletes hidden in cut out books and magazines. Nothing to see here, he was just 'playing around'.

Don't forget the heart meds. Coaching is a high stress life. Meds are needed to avoid those heart attacks.
L'équipe remind that her `toe issue' did not seem to bother her in training much, and link to https://twitter.com/BolsaCorredor. One of the videos shows many bags taken away by the police. Could this all be medicines, supplements and the like? Documents also maybe?

Isn't Ahmed Bile, the Georgetown runner, the son of Abdi Bile?
I doubt that Ahmed Bile takes anything.
Yes, he is his son.
Why not all? Reportedly there were about 30 athletes in the hotel

Aden is busted---his assistant Bile is busted--Bile was coached by Cook--Cook was tight with SALAZAR.
Cook has gone off on Salazar publicly and has implied that Salazar dopes. This mostly after Rowbury went to be coached by Salazar.
Also, Cook has sent accusatory messages against Aden in recent years.
Cook burned his bridges with these two.
Interestingly, David Torrence (newly Peruvian), trained with Aden for a bit but went back to get workouts from Cook this year.

This is why doping - as in Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Kenya - should be a criminal offense, but IAAF and WADA continue to fight it. No, they don't fight the doping, but that doping should be treated as a crime.
Exactly. It's a type of fraud.

Exactly. I hope some big heads gets lopped off in this one. There are some VERY nervous people out there right now.
With athletes though, they have to test positive or have a banned substance WITH them, otherwise it's just he said, she said.
