    Think about it. Lebron has taken 7 teams to the Finals with three distinct teams and four different coaches.

    Who else can match this? Not Kobe, not Jordon, Not Magic, Not Bird...

    Whenever he leaves a team they become mediocre at best and horrendous most of the time. When he goes to a new team, they automatically go to the Finals and are title contenders.

    When Jordan left the Bulls. They still won 55 games that year (Pippen missed the first 12 games and they were way under .500).

    The NBA doesn't care. They even did him a favor. After he got demolished last season it was clear he gets tired in the NBA finals (also reference the Spurs series where he had cramps), the NBA added extra days to the schedule this season so there would be 3 days of rest between games. Wonder who was complaining about that? The Warriors?

    Lebron did it for 7 (really just 3)

    The whole purpose of the season is to have a shot at getting to the finals and nothing more. Golden State made the mistake of doing a lit more work than was necessary.

    Well, he said goat twice, so yes.

    Lebron left the heat, most people believe If Whiteside and bosh were healthy this year they would have beaten the cavs. I agree. So also him saying when he leaves a team they become bad is wrong.

    Let's by say finals appearances for Lebron are the same as finals appearances for Jordan or Bird. Lebron went through GARBAGE in the east the last two years. The raptors? Pistons? HAWKS? My god. The cavs would not have sniffed the finals the last two years in the west. They would be a 3 seed at best meaning they would have to beat both San Antonio and GS on the road back to back series. Not happening. Lebron is great, last night was great to watch, even if you can't stand all his bs like me. But to sit here and say he's the best just because you like to get caught up in the moment, be ESPN's sheep, and have no historical context, is in a word: retarded

    The Jordanless bulls also went to the conference finals, shows how good they were even without him. I am not sure who started in MJ's place that year. Always wondered how good a Bulls team would be a full year with Jordan but without Pippen.

    As far as Lebron being added and making a team great and automatically go to the finals, and then leaving and the team sucks...its way more complicated and involved than that, you ignored all the other factors. When LJ went to the Heat, they were 47-35 the year before, and then they added a great player (perhaps the greatest) in Lebron and another very, very good player in Chris Bosh...then were able to sign additional role players. When he left, Miami struggled b/c you cant take a superstar (LJ) off the team and replace him with nothing...and Miami was also banged up the year after he left, Bosh came down with the Blod Clot condition and Wade had injury issues that slowed him down some. They finished 37-45 with all the injuries. Bosh played 44 games total, Wade 62.

    When he joined Cleveland, it wasn't like it was insert Lebron and nothing else happened......they made trades, Kyrie and 2011? #4 pick Thompson were a year older, they signed role players. Changes were made.

    I'm not saying that the he wasn't single biggest factor, because he was, nor am I denying his greatness. I'm just saying its not that simple.

    Also, he has been in the East his whole career, and for the majority of the time its been an inferior conference to the West. The East has had one or two good teams for most of his finals appearances. His teams (Miami 4 years, Cleveland 2 years has been one of the one or one of the two). The West has had 5 or more very good teams to contend with each year. Lebrons teams have had injuries, and they escaped the East Playoffs and made the finals because the path was less demanding. The West has been a much tougher road and adversity/injuries can not be overcome as easily. The times he lost in the Finals to a West team, his team might not have even made it to the finals as they would have fallen to a West team.....They also would have been lower seeds some years and been on the road more. Again, none of this takes away from his greatness. I'm just saying there are so many factors and its TEAMS that win, and if they are great teams in your path, series after series AND year after year, then you probably don't make the finals as often.
    Also, Lebron was great last year and he was great this year. He won the Championships this year, but not last year. It was either because Golden State was better last year, or it was because Cleveland didn't have Kyrie and Love...or a combo of both. They won this year and didnt have Love one game, and GSW didnt have Green one game and Bogut two games. Would GSW have won if they had all weapons every game, or would Cleveland still have won? You can debate this, but the point is that a players greatness is often dictated by circumstances beyond ones control that can alter your perceived greatness.

    What if next season 10 superstars colluded to join together on one team in the East, they jelled, and beat Cleveland in the conference finals 4 games t 1 and then won the Title.....Would Lebron suddenly not be great? He didn't lead his team to the finals. No, circumstances, a better team, got in the way.

    OK, enough.

    I'm not a basketball fan by any stretch, but I'll point out my long-time Cavs buddy's comment after Game 7 to some GSW fans at the bar: "When the second best team in your conference is the Toronto Raptors, you can't really say you had to claw your way to the finals, but fantastic series."

    From my perspective, the Warriors looked like they were riding the rush from OKC into the first couple games, getting offensive rebounds (as they had to do against OKC), work the court on defense and move the ball. But once Cavs made their move, GSW looked like Pre coming down the homestretch of the Olympic 5K grasping at the finish.
