How is this guy still unsponsored? Especially after how he ended last year, who he's beaten plus what he's had done in his 3 races this year?
Are we all 100% sure Alexander has no sponsor? I highly doubt it.
If you rank in the top 3 or 4 runners in your particular event going into an Olympic Trials you would assume an athlete would be sponsored by somebody.
If you look at the top PROFESSIONAL performers time-wise for 2016 in each middle distance and distance event they are all sponsored and most are more than likely taken care of very well by their sponsors.
10k Eric Jenkins Nike Oregon Project, Bernard Lagat Nike, Sam Chalanga Nike
5k Hassan Mead Nike OTC, Ben True Saucony, Garrett Heath Brooks
Steeple. Evan Jäger Nike Bowerman TC, Stanley Kebenei Nike, Dan Huling Nike Bowerman TC, Corey. Leslie Nike
800 Boris Berian New Balance, Duane Soloman Saucony, Chris Sowinsky Nike, Brandon Johnson Nike
At 1500 The top 3 are Ben True 3:36.05, Clayton Murphy 3:36.23, Colby Alexander 3:36.26
True (Saucony) will not run 1500 at the trials and Murphy will focus on 800. That leaves Alexander as the TOP 1500 GUY for 2016 going into the Trials time-wise and he is not sponsored???
Highly doubt it.
