Family does not deserve a penny. Instead they should face charges of child endangerment for allowing their child to walk on the edge of a lake in Florida. EVERYBODY knows there are gators in Florida lakes. There are some people who don't know gators are in Georgia, Louisiana, Alabama, and other SE states, but EVERYBODY knows Florida is loaded with them. Hell, the University of Florida is the Gators for a reason. The parents are 100% liable for the death of their child. Lack of a sign should not make Disney liable.
Florida has more lightning strikes than any other state. If the kid got struck by lightning and killed on Disney property, are they liable because they didn't have a sign on every corner saying there is a lightning risk by standing on that particular spot during a storm?
What should happen - parents charged with a crime and get sued by Disney because their terrible parenting will ultimately cost Disney money in revenue from tourists afraid of gators on the property.
What will happen - Disney ends up paying millions to these reckless parents who will probably spend it all before their other kid grows old enough to use it for college money
