I was in the stadium. I watched the race from about row 4 on the backs straight.
I saw Viren and others run faster, harder and smarter.
I like Pre, but he was one of many athletes who weren't quite up to it. Perhaps if he'd lived and developed he'd might have been.
I can name a number of better athletes. Viren, Clarke, Puttamens, Gamoudi, Elliot, Ivo Van Damme. That was also a great loss to the sport. IVD. And add anyone else who medaled at the OG
