I know I'm not the first to have proposed this, but why can't the forum have 2 sections? One for registered people only with stricter rules and another "no holds barred" section with no registration required.
I would probably spend time in both, but I would expect fundamentally different things from each.

It doesn't work. Who makes up the strict rules? Who reads ever post to make it adheres? A complete waste of time.
The title of a thread is all you need to make your own decision whether to enter. If posts within the thread don't meet your strict rules, simply ignore them. Why people whine about this site and can't filter things out on their own is a mystery to me. You guys wear big boy pants, so man up and handle it yourselves.

Wejo, I think this speaks of the need to change this place a bit, just a bit, to maintain a level of quality that won't make the pros, the coaches and runners like Brazier, stop coming here.
Imagine if Donavan would now come here today and post, thanking people for their support or even just for taking part in an educated discussion about his possibilities beforehand.
How great it would be if he would tell us how the race went, how he felt, how he trains...
Just create a well-moderated section of the forum where people who really care about the sport, and people directly involved in it, can come to post without being subjected to the trolls.
You have lost Brazier, (almost) Canova, Daniels, etc., etc., etc.
I understand the sentiment but I'm supposed to stop people from saying Brazier is done? Yes it's a simplistic way of saying he's toast this season but where do I draw the line. Can someone say he's toast this season? Or do they have to say "I believe the probabilities are brazier will not run any faster this year".
I didn't see trolls being relayed to what Donavan was talking about just fans.
I must say that there are some very, very knowledgeable people posting to these boards. I have learned a lot since coming here, even if just for the diversity of opinion and range of experience.
There are, unfortunaely, too many antagonistic remarks an unprovoked insults. I still keep coming here, though, and the elites and pros should just see things for what they are. Nothing in this world is perfect.

I quite agree here. Potentially this is a good message board but it has deteriorated over last few years

Almost as shocking as his 1:43.55 Donavan Brazier revealed today that he is or was a LetsRun.com message board visitor.
He said he doesn't come on here anymore, but he was reading when people were writing him off.
Video coming shortly.
LRC Nation you inspired him to greatness. If you had said all would be good, he might not have had anything to prove :) I can't figure out how to do an emoji on my laptop.
Jesus, you really are a MORON. That's what you took from his comment? He doesn't come to your hate-spewing forums any longer because of the morons, haters, bigots that you and your anonymous-posting site promote.
I, on the other hand, enjoy the train wreck.

I fail to see why runners think fans should behave differently than fans of other sports. Insult hurling, arguments, bantering, fist fights, ... these all occur at greater degree in other sports than in running. I haven't seen anything as bad as these fights in running.

Won't happen!
If Brazier runs another bad race or two and some will post again that he is done.
Professional and elite college athletes are criticized and bashed in many other sports. It is the small price you pay for being really good.
I do agree with others that this forum needs to be registration only. I think it will a very positive change and It will only make it better. I don't think it will really change the boards dynamics.
God forbid Brazier got criticized. Stop whining about fake internet criticism and get ready for the trials.
I mean soccer fans in Europe are literally members of right wing and left wing extremist groups and have brawls inside and outside the stadium and track fans whine about internet trolls being mean.

Sounds like a great way to have a sparsely populated message board. Face it, the conflict is what brings people here. Might as well just buy the burial plot next to Dyestat if you do that.
I bet Donavan will be reading the threads this week.
What a great race.
