#1 Saw an email from USATF saying that Max Siegel is a marketing genius. He's done a good job with TV deals and getting a big deal with NIKE (I don't love Nike but hey). What do folks think about his leadership and being called a marketing genius?
#2 Simple idea for the Trials- sell singlets with runners' names on them and give them a cut of the profits. It'll help to have that kind of visibility and can provide some revenue to underpaid professional athletes.
Living in Oregon, it's sometimes hard to find a UO singlet. I remember in 2012 they sold team USA replica singlets for $25. Why not do that and add a runner name? Why not do a t shirt jersey so people can wear them casually? Why not sell some college singlets from some of the top track schools? Or sell Pre's HS singlet? Etc.
Who else has some ideas?
