Michael really should have come clean. No way he was there and don't know what was going on.

I just posted this on your blog:
"Well put together, thanks. So another cheat bites the dust, but he is still denying it, amazing. Still many questions need answering though, especially from Michael Speicher, his comments defy credibility and Dustin Brooks, who seems to be a major player in this whole scam. Be nice if the word 'cheat' appeared in the official report and the statement from Skins (perhaps it does, but I didn't see it)."

Seems to have learned nothing from the Rossi thread which is if you don't admit your cheating then it never goes away.
Presented with the data, Young continued to deny any wrongdoing.
“To be honest with you, I did all the running,†he said. “Along the way there were mistakes, and I openly admit that.â€
Young said the GPS watch may have been inside the RV during certain portions of his attempt. But he said that it was on his wrist “most†of the time.
The data Pielke Jr. and Tucker collected show that the watch would have to have been inside a moving vehicle for at least 25 percent of the measured segments during the first 24 days of the run.
“There were times when everyone was just tired,†Young said. “Not all the checks were properly done.
“I am not a big person with all the watches and the data and how all that stuff works,†he continued. “I was there to do the running.â€
In the phone interview with Runner’s World, Young cited eyewitnesses who came and ran with him. He also stressed that the run was done to raise money for charity. He criticized the investigation for not allowing runners who came to support him a chance to submit their evidence.
What a scumbag. Yes Robert, you really helped those charities. It was all for the children. Keep telling yourself that.
From the report:
Further, we established that TomTom data, uploaded directly, could not be altered, unlike MapMyRun and Strava entries uploaded from files, which can be edited. Therefore, a priority for the investigators was to obtain both the watches (to have a record of the data in their collected, “raw†form) and the original TomTom data files, which would have been backed up to a local computer (two laptops that accompanied the attempt).
TomTom log-in information was eventually obtained on July 11, 2016 (the investigation began July 1). We requested, but were not provided access to the backup TomTom files from the two laptops that accompanied the attempt. These would have included all TomTom files uploaded from the watches. The watches were provided to us but had been completely cleared of all data. We know that the TomTom files that we were provided were a subset of all runs recorded during the attempt. An unknown number of files were not provided to us.
So after the run, they manipulated data and reset the watches hoping to cover their tracks.
“There were times when everyone was just tired,†Young said. “Not all the checks were properly done."
Not too tired to play soccer and make side trips to the Grand Canyon though.
"Investigators contacted Brooks as part of the investigation, but Brooks said they gave him little time to respond and he was on vacation in Croatia and unavailable to talk."
So they don't have internet or cell coverage in Croatia?
Speaking with Runner’s World, Brooks said he wished he could have spoken with the investigators. He said he never once saw Young ride inside the RV when he was supposed to be running. “If there was any cheating, it would have had to have been done by a master criminal to have fooled me,†Brooks said.
gag
where are you finding his replies?? I'm not seeing anything on his twitter or FB.

Rob Young still denies any wrong doing! What a joke.
The thing I don't get is why he'd turn over the cadence data. Not only is a cheat (which we all knew) but I'd just refuse to give that over.
Then he could deny it.
Well I actually have one other question.
Why does a TomTom show any cadence in a car? Is it because things bump up and down?
Or is the watch just set up to anticipate a step every now and then?

I don't want to be unkind but that's how some people with certain personality disorders think, they live in a different world in total denial and believe they can manipulate, justify, talk their way out of, use their personality, never admit to anything, etc, etc. He would be a marvelous case for psych specialists to evaluate.
Oh yeah,
Then he could deny it.
he is denying it.
Amazing that their collective story is that "it didn't happen". It's not our business, but I'd assume the Skins guy has to be let go. Not sure who has more to lose. Rob and Dustin who have built up a this career facade or the Skins fella that they must have swindled early on (unless he was in on it before things even kicked off).
Also, I'm surprised Robbin' Robby hasn't been ahead of the curve and addressed this. Would have done quite a bit to salvage whatever fanbase he has. "Guys, a report will be released indicating that my effort was fabricated. I am here to tell you whole heartedly that I ran every step of the way and something must have gone wrong with the data, from both watches, and the eyewitness reports are also wrong. Please keep sending me money so I can do this again." However, given their response to the investigators (BS lies and hiding), I guess I shouldn't expect much at all.

We went over this a few pages ago. The data in the report is per-session. One "run" may include say, 3 hours in a car, AND 1 hour running. And if the running is at 180 cadence, then the average cadence for the whole thing would be only 45. But that does not mean it was 45 the whole time. See what I'm saying?
It's also possible that when in a car, there's the watch is getting a very noisy signal and is trying to pick out a cadence and does register one here and there leading to a low, but non-zero, rate.
I think the TomTom file themselves are supposed to be released? Would be nice to see the actual cadence stream data.

He turned it over but deleted the Bannock runs, for example, which would have been CONCRETE evidence of the nature of: He is at point A at X time, and at point B, which is 10 miles away, 10 minutes later...
So he turned it over, minus that type of info, because this way it is now just a jumble of data from haters against him. "It was just for the children and no one told me how to use TomTom and there must have just been a problem with the data, and no one told me how long of steps I should take as this was really about my thoughts and emotion for kids who are special..."

Totally true about pathological liars. Rob got away with all his lies in the past, and thought he could do the same and dupe everyone again no matter what. He didn't account for the persistence of LetsRun crowd. Aside, I think the SKINS CEO deserves credit. He didn't play it all right, but at least he was willing to take action. I think Fuller deserves a lot of credit for that. Most people in his place would just play dumb and deny, like the typical business and Rob Young strategy says.
The official report, the RW article, the SKINS blog, pretty much every source here has some denial from Rob in it.
