That would cause everyone here to get out of their mom's basement and make the Geezer trip look like a vacation. They would be wise not to stir the hornet's nest.

MarathonmanUK Never Quit
It has been a rough few days. A visit to the hospital derailed the record attempt but after a day of rest and a sausage roll I have bounced back and am back in my way to New York. We had to abandon Frank, along with my foot the RV also broke down. So close to the finish line we decided to rent a car the rest of the way. I was knacks red but a day rest and I am hitting a modest 55 mpd and am only continuing by the strength of my supporters and the children.
Maybe he's working on his new book on exercise physiology and peak performance for distance running. There's Daniels, Lydiard, Pfitzinger, Hudson, Squires, Hansons, McMillan... and now the Espresso and Sausage Roll Training Plan!
Back of the putrid rancid RV, just after lights out:
Rob: Dustin, you still awake.
Dustin: Yeah.
Rob: I just wanted to say, this is another fine mess you've got us in to.
Peter? You're biking to Ohio? I NEED THOSE EGGS AND MILK!
Found them, took a pic late this afternoon, just got round to posting it.
They've traded in the old RV, was costing too much apparently.

I don't know if it's been said, but it appears any anti-Robby post's are being wiped from their FB, & the posters blocked.
Interesting article on abuse of finances in a charitable foundation run by the former Athletic Director at USC, Pat Hayden. It looks like it was too easy to game the system for this former NFL star and Rhodes Scholar to resist:

Something to think about in terms of the context of the issues raised in this thread.

This is exactly the reason why I don't donate at all to any "charities". They are pretty much all scams.
For those of you expecting to hear from Rob, the crew or even naïve enough to to believe Rob tries to keep running. You need to study a grifter. This scam is dead. It won't be revisited. They are already knee deep in their next scam to make money and pay for their travel. A grifter does not care about public opinion or their past misdeeds.

That's fine, but for the love of god, can they just turn the tracker back on?
Hello, a British runner here. Yes you can ask Powerof10/RunBritian to amend your times but you usually have to send them decent evidence of your correct time - pic of you crossing the the line with a clock, or a PDF or link to the 'correct' results. Thinking maybe he created a fake results list and sent it to them. They don't have time to check everything and it's hardly such a remarkable result that they would care.
Out of interest on the 3:11 results for this race, this guy was one place ahead:
http://www.thepowerof10.info/athletes/profile.aspx?athleteid=694570and this guy one place behind (v well known multiple marathoner in the UK of a good standard)
http://www.thepowerof10.info/athletes/profile.aspx?athleteid=694570Seems unlikely with RY's previous results that he's be up there with these guys.
BTW Thames Meander has a lot of off-road sections - it's run on Thames towpath and you have to dodge other runners, cyclists, walkers. It's flat but not the fastest of courses because of this.
Where the F did this guy go? Did they literally just leave a RV in the Wall Mart parking lot?
If it's still there someone should call a store manager or the cops to check on them.
Where in the world is RY?

Where in the world is RY?
Galt's Gulch near Ouray, Colorado

why I despise ultra runners: wrote:What a piece of emotional crap! Are you and the author so gullible that you think RY and his gang will suddenly come clean? Or are you just trying to profile yourselves as Great Humans?
The ultra community: "the most open and accepting communities on this planet." Your self-indulgence is repugnant. I hope RY and other fraudsters continue to swindle you and drag your hobby through the mud. With the ridiculous naiveness you display you deserve every ounce of it.
Yeah, this guy sounds slightly dopey. To be fair though, most of what you read on the ultralist pertaining to RY, although much more civilized than here, is not nearly as forgiving or clueless.
1. You need to look up the definition of "naive."
2. Giving an honest "out" to a human being who has backed himself into an impossible corner is somehow repulsive to you? You must be a real treat.

Rob: Dustin you awake?
Dustin: Yeah, what the is it now Rob?
Rob: Tomorrow can we go home?
Dustin: I suppose, why?
Rob: Cos I bloody hate America and Americans. And Dustin.
Dustin: Yeah, (sigh).
Rob: Can we forget about the English Channel Swim.
Dustin: OK, ------(pause)------for now anyway. Nighty, night.
Towards the start of the thread there were links from a UK poster relating to 2 marathons in 24hrs in 3.20-3.30. Leicester and Belfast or Dublin in 2014.
I Don't think much of the wide range of times he drops if London is accurate. To cheat there he'd need good prep and planning, on the day coordination and a lot of luck. From this transcontinental attempt I'd suggest he's clueless with all but luck.
London - a few mins for an interview and you prob have a good estimate of his pb potential, 3.00-3.05
Leicester 26 Oct 2014 3:19:43 ( 6M 38:00, 19M 2:15:00 )
Dublin 27 Oct 2014 3:33:44 ( missed 10km split, half in 1:43:26 )
I'd agree that it would have been very difficult to fake the 3:07 at London 2015. But for a 31 year old male that's run for a few hours a day for a year, even if it's 15 miles rather than 26, 3:07 is a reasonable, but not spectacular time.

This guy is total lowlife scum. Abandons his children, defrauds charities, puts on a disguise of niceness, and deceives people with lies to advance his agenda among other things.
This reminds me of Lance "Live Strong" Armstrong in many ways.
In both cases, their incredible arrogance finally ended up causing their own destruction.
In both cases…it took a long time…but was well worth the wait.
What fun!!!
