I am a medical student on a radiology rotation. I was sitting behind the resident in the reading room, peeking at this thread (lets be real you can't keep up here of you fail to check for more than a few hours at a time), and could not suppress an audible laugh at a Fake Laz post. This thread has been truly amazing. The internet is such a wonderful thing.
Could someone collate a collection of direct links to the gems in here, for posterity sake?
BTW if we get that Robert Young plain film I could probably have the attending take a look. I wouldn't trust an Indiana community hospital ;) Keep me posted boots on the ground!

Jehosephat, what's this "we" stuff? You weren't there. Laz, Ray, Bill, Mrs. Laz were. The interesting thing is that the ones who actually did the grunt work on the ground are not trying to take credit it for it. They did their job and went home. And they are being praised.
You're like the annoying little runt in the stands who keeps referring to his football team as "we" did this and "we" did that who never lifted a weight or played a down of Pop Warner in his life.
In his efforts to right his world he does come across as a fat smelly turd burgler sweating over a keyboard surrounded by empty chip packets and coke bottles.

The geezers were mobilizing before this group knew what was what.
Plus the 24-36 hour posts by rojo. Which, yeah.
Hey pal, if you'd ever been in the military you'd know that everyone has a role to play, from the lowest shit kicker to the man (and what could soon be woman) at the top. So STFU and go away, which you should have done days ago.
e-tough! LOL!
This post sums up so much and gives credit to those who have been brave for those of us who are not. They will forever be remembered...

Actually responding a second time because I went back and looked. I don't think I did the "we" thing. I called someone else out for the doing the "we" thing. Ha.
Ooh mommy, mommy I scored a point over those nasty LetsRunners.

Nah, I'm pretty sure I hit the upright. And I think the person in question is probably a well-versed ulister. Which is fine.
As for e-tough and the military, I laughed. Thanks for the education on how the military works. I was unaware. Heh.

A clarification here for "rule No 1" and "sorta comes across that way" -- I didn't ask the question ("Are all ultra runners liars?"); I was the one being asked (while being called a liar) by whoever that guy was who called me an idiot (to whom I responded that I am idiot in regard to not knowing how to use the 'quote' thing: Which now shows how much a deficit it is to be such an idiot as you all apparently took my "copying" of the conversation with that accuser (rather than "quoting" it) ... to get back to where I was, you all took it to believe that I was asking rather than being asked? No, I was the occasional ultrarunner who was accused of being a liar.... Sorry for my technological deficiencies; I can't keep up with this newfangled world. I still read a newspaper every day, for gosh sakes.
That list of team geezer is incomplete but not that important.
I see it this way, no one other than a small set of dedicated ultra runners would have noticed, or cared about, this fraud if it remained a discussion of RY's miles per day.
It took Asher's initial drive-by video evidence and subsequent security footage to blow thing up and get more people involved in the analysis.
The graph plotters and data crunchers Illustrated the fraudulent miles and
Team Laz made RY try to prove, and fail, at hitting his unrealistic daily mileage.
I, on the other hand, was the first to point out that fake RY was not carrying a flashlight, but a cellphone, in the security footage. I now demand a recount on the award voting.
Who would be shocked if RY claims he is rejuvenated after today and the tracker is back up and he starts knocking out big days?
I actually think SKINS demanded the GPS data from the team and pulled the plug when they examined it.
Guys what do you think Team RY is going to do? My theories are:
1) Radio silence. Just hope this goes away and don't stoke the flames.
2) They will come up with some BS excuse, which I predict will be the whole "well we though that it just had to add up to a total of 2700 miles" thing that has already been alluded to. They will claim Rob had to skip some sections due to safety concerns or whatever BS, and say "that's not cheating, its just a minor 'adjustment' and a lenient interpretation of the rules. The real story is Rob is amazing and did it for the kids".
And his followers will eat that shite up. They will be lighting up Facebook with "haters - stay away from here. We support Rob, he just made a small innocent mistake but he is still our idol and we know he would have smashed the record if not for Laz messing with his shoe and breaking toe!"
If you are going to be completely honest and fair, Gold and Silver should be reversed.

Are you sure this is from Laz? It just looks the random british guy said it.
Right, as mentioned above, that was misattributed to Laz. It was Lindley Chambers.
That post just confirmed you're an idiot. Sorry.

you're funny, tell me another!
I wonder ... What if the polish journalist kept his audio or visual tape running when Rib and Dustin did not know it and caught them on tape admitting and conspiring. That polish journalist may actually be sitting on a great expose story and can claim he went along with it because he was investigating semi undercover.
There is hope

We are in 5th place. The man is right. Such is tech work.
