I think at least some of that is people marking them as spam and facebook autofiltering. If you click sort by top, one of the options is top (unfiltered) which shows a few more comments, although not all (?). So possible they're also deleting.

Really? That pace he was running early on was "world class"?
I think I need to enter some ultra races. Does anyone know if there is any money in it?
I'm guessing he meant world class for the alleged multiple days of high mileage.
I guess you haven't been paying attention.
You should give the Transcon a go and see if you can maintain the miles per day that RY was claiming, day after day after day, west of the Mississippi. The effort claimed was indeed exceptional and would only be possible by someone with world class ability which is why the ultralist and team geezer started questioning it in mid May.
THAT'S NOT LAZ.
Laz did NOT post on Facebook. Lindley Chambers (a UK runner) copied and pasted Laz's Ulist post onto Facebook.. What you copied is Lindley's comment about Laz's summary.
THAT'S NOT LAZ.
We need boots on the ground in GC. Rob could have drowned in the germ-ridden chocolate fountain.

For Rob to do what he claimed in those early stages, he would have to have a marathon PR way below what even his fake PR of 2:41 is. He would need to be a solid 2:20ish guy and this is simply out of his reach and is never ever gonna happen. The guy is a hobby jogger - doesn't even look close physically to an elite athlete.
Good night Rob - it's over buddy!
You're right...my mistake! I saw Lindley post Laz's message and then incorrectly associated him with the next post.
Thanks for catching it.

Curious, how can you determine that?
Thanks.

Sports Illustrated article. This will surely make the mass media soon...

Published two days ago. So far, I'm not aware of any other media picking it up.
Where does RY post his daily mileage and what has he posted for today?

People should be sending it to the Guardian, BBC etc.

Hi guys, just made a VERY interesting discovery.
You remember how most of RY's Twitter followers are fake?
What about his Facebook likes?
http://i.imgur.com/Koa1IYP.pngThat's right. 75.9% of his likes are in Turkey.
Believable?
Istanbullshit! Gobble Gobble MF
Robert HP Young aka marathonmanuk.
And here he is in all of his glory:
the last we ever saw of the tracker we have grown to love and hate

Thanks, I hadn't click on that. I'm pretty sure that charging % on the right has changed, though, so that seems to indicate that it's not off. It's a 73% right now...but what do I know. For the sake of keeping this thread going, it would be great if it went active again in Dayton w/ a FB update about how RY is pressing ahead despite being in pain.
I kind of want him to just turn up in New York and act like he actually succeeded. That would be more fun.

There were articles in the Sun, Telegraph, and Daily Mail about him and maybe other British media. I think one or two of those were specifically about this record attempt. Google the articles. Then twitter the authors and link the SI article. They may be eager to get a new story.
