I have spent my entire work day monitoring the GPS transponder of an RV sitting in a Wal-Mart parking lot. WTF.

Looks like they're going backwards again. Now what?
Back on rt 40, back in the game!
Sounds like they may be stupid enough to resume the run thinking they've dropped Laz. We found out a while back that DOT weather cams aren't archived... but since no one may be tracking him on foot for a while we should figure out any upcoming DOT cameras he will be running by and run screen capture recordings to get video evidence of whether he's running or in the RV.
Heading West from Walmart! wtf?
Their path is not random. If you map out the last 12 hours on a map, it spells "SKINS SUCK"
So at least they have a sense of humor.
They are trying to make sure they aren't being followed.

Did you talk to them?

If I wasn't so busy, I would have done the same.
Managed to catch up however.
The gig is up now!
They may be at Payless Shoes to get some sneakers without holes in them. Or 5 guys.

Awesome, back to some good 'ol fashioned spycraft!
Has he done any running yet today? I suppose giving up on the record and going for a very conservative pace to just finish isn't yet out of the question...

That was the saddest Wal-Mart ever. If he would just go east, Cumberland is very quaint and pleasant.
Peter is our hero!!!!
This thread is so popular, Carl sagan's son has joined in to provide his insight.

We have a winner. And like the run so far, they are using films as their basis for what happens in real life.

Oh my God.
They are actually going back to the Wal-Mart.
Idiots.
Maybe our hero Robbie has been sleeping on a hammock in the Walmart Outdoor Living section this whole time.
Cheaper than a hotel, and it's air conditioned.
Doesn't he need to log 26.2 miles of running today to keep his streak going? Or is that already over?
It is a bit ironic that the tool they thought they could exploit to cheat and bring attention to sell more books and gain more charity (the skins RV tracker) is the one that turned out to be their demise and they can't seem to get rid of it now they they would probably prefer privacy.
Don't mean to distract from the action, but this thread has gotten me excited to try a transcontinental run of my own. I'd like to combine it with the rules of the beer mile though. Questions:
Is one beer per 4 miles too easy? Too hard? 5%ABV minimum?
Will I have a tough time raising money for the children when alcohol is involved?
What sort of beer tracking would satisfy everyone's concerns about cheating?
Are they at the UPS store? Is he now mailing himself to NYC?
Maybe try to use shipping boxes for shoes?

If they don't want to be followed, they should try turning off the transponder.
