Those mountains are nothing compared to the flat terrain of KS, IL and Indiana. It is a well known fact that Ultra runners thrive on 10,000 ft climbs yet struggle with flat running. It has something to do with the way they are wired. Right Laz?

Has anyone seen inside their RV for an office type setup i.e. printer, scanner etc? Anyway this type of document could have easily been typed up back in Pommy land and simply emailed to them to print off somewhere....possible the hospital
We need boots on the ground to question hospital staff to validate his claim of actually seeing a medical professional there.
That's right!
Actually, this whole thing is being faked from the back room of a pub in Surrey. There is no RV or Asher or Laz. It's all fake! Wake up sheeple! How can you be so dense? You've obviously been had.

Does that make you a Rob Young TRANSCON Twoofer?
Regarding claims to have ridden as a pro cyclist, the New Statesman article phrases it slightly differently:

He could have just joined them for a couple of training rides in the off-season, and somewhat bent the truth subsequently, spinning it out to being a pro cyclist. Just a thought how one particular lie could have snowballed.
Not that I would trust anything he said without solid evidence though!

Bye, bye Rob. Either you quit or you die. Think of your fans. They obviously prefer that you quit. Although the rest of us don't care.
He did seek medical attention and got a prescription for it, so it's not left untreated.

I don't think walking 50 mi a day is part of a recommended treatment.

It's okay, any limbs he loses will grow back.
*in the UK ATOS (disability benefit checkers) frequently ask people with missing limbs if they'll grow back.
Come on Wobby, you can do it. You are my hero.

Not at all. They insist he continues. Otherwise the "haters" and "trolls" win.
A few quotes:
- Stay strong buddy, we're all behind you. You little friend Theo says "NEVER GIVE UP"
- Think about the parts of you that don't hurt!! Pinch your hand or whatever, you know the drill. Keep it up. Don't give up now
- Rest and recover AFTER you break the record!
- You can still do it Rob! Keep on running
- You breaking the record is a done deal in my head.
Like it has been mentioned before, his cult will make a martyr of him.
If Rob quits now, he loses his godlike status and become a mere mortal.
The fanboys only accept either the record or his death.

I've had it. Dangerous stuff. Keeping the skin hot and sweaty is pouring gasoline on that fire.

Yeah, he just joined up with Eric Zabel and the boys for a few training rides. Because most professional cycling teams let anyone jump in. And, where did he join this mainly German team for their rides? Oh, let me guess, all of them decided to travel to the UK to train just so Rob could join in and they could learn from him.
Don't be do fvcking stupid.
You're right. Maybe we should all join his group and cheer him on?

The BAA recently asked an amputee woman to produce a letter of her disability so she could run in the mobility impaired category. This after she had been running it for many years already. I picture this little baby foot growing back and trying to run on it.
He's not moving yet? I'm on the northeast side of Indy and contemplated riding my bike down to intercept his route and snap a pic. I would only have to ride about 15 miles south.
Respect for the way the ultra guys handled it: Just observe him for a couple of days and see what happens. Team RY was never going to release the data so making him actually work for that record was the only way to go.
"We need boots on the ground to question hospital staff to validate his claim of actually seeing a medical professional there."
Boots were on the ground. He's legitimately injured and definitely suffering now and at least for a couple of days. Bloke is clearly a tough guy. But he forgot that he's only been moving slow for about 10 days, not 20, and claimed 2+ weeks when he should have said 1+ week to explain why he slowed down.
2+weeks means he ran several 20mile stretches at 6:30/mi pace on a broken toe through rural Kansas. Oh right, Kansas ;)

Fortunately that's not a problem. We've all seen that Robert don't sweat when he's running big mileage at a strong pace.

Please do and give us an update on what is going on. Tracker stuck, no updates on the Ultra list either.
Why did they share Rob's personal medical info?
Why not post it at the end after he smashes the record, with all the rest of the data?
