Everything said about NY is obviously true, but they may not have to wait until NYC to start getting into more trouble with law enforcement.
For example, their planned route takes them through the heart of Indianapolis tomorrow. Per the current estimate on the ultralist, they'd arrive between noon and 3p. Indianapolis isn't NYC, but it also isn't Emporia (much less "Emporium", which someone keeps calling it) and it won't go well for them if they stick to it. Even if they ultraninja through the city after dark.
And as they move further east, it is a problem which will recur in other cities.
Truth. You can't just cruise through almost the center of Indianapolis at sub 10MPH. You are going to either get (a) arrested or (b) attacked.

You lot forget I've seen Rob in worst states and smash out a sub 6 min mile at the lure of a sausage roll!
Rob will finish and he will show you what he is made of.
He has balls, integrity and guts something many of you obviously lack
He also has an RV to do all of those things.
As someone who lives in Indy, I have a few observations about his route through here......
-West Washington St is not a nice area. Good luck with that.
-Going through the heart of downtown during the daytime? Good luck with that also.
-East Washington St is not a nice area either.
-He should stop at Jockamo Pizza on the east side.

Everyone has seemed to latch onto a narrative of RY as a nice and really likeable bloke. I wonder if the ex- would have a very different version of who and what he is ... And I do wonder about the recent speculation about mental health disorders (narcissistic personality disorder ??? Maybe). Not that I know a lot about how British courts work. But you would think that if there were no concerns on their part that visitation/custody would be enforced.
Why is any of that something to be explored on a running forum?
Post nuptial shut-off dude.
Commiserations to the ultra fellas for what this clown is doing to your sport because the Skins response below is also just the sort of response you'll also get from Guinness. And they will also post this sort of narrative and link:"If you have any doubts about his record attempt I’ll invite you to join him for a few days and run with him as many other people are doing as you can see on the list here":http://www.marathonmanuk.com/crewToo many dollars tied up by certain individuals and companies for any inaccuracies and LR sleuthing data raised not to be smudged over by them and his fawning disciples.
Coach Kev, a true believer.
Kev, I'm in Sydney, can I interest you in buying a bridge and an opera house?

I think they are done for this period. They've gone to the Hampton Inn off US41 & I-70 it appears. They're so toasted that they forgot to turn off the tracker.
So of he is so destitute he is asking for donations to support his family, how can these fools aford all of theservice hotels? I thought that sleeping in what the RV1 was for!
I actually am rooting for this guy now. Regardless if he cheated, he is actually showing a lot of balls from what laz has said, and that is respectable. Most cheaters would give up.

Since this WR attempt is coming to a close, I am wondering what the actual WR is for a kid sitting in mother's basement? Does there have to be a basement? A mother? Can I sit on the front porch when no one is looking? Is is o.k. if I collect social security while I do it? Do I have to be a narcissist? Should I be fat or slim? Skinny fat?
1. For life.
2. It doesn't have to be a basement but it has to be basement-like, dark, dirty, possible water-leakage. Living in your mom's renovated basement won't cut it. Upload pic of sump pump or it doesn't count.
3. Yes, it has to be your Mom. If you are living with your dad, then it sounds like you guys are roommates and you go halvsies on the mortgage.
4. Yes to the front porch, but you have to lounge, drink beer, etc.
5. Social security: Yes. Welfare: yes. Narcissist: Maybe (you need delusions of grandeur at the very least). Weight: skinny / fat, doesn't matter. What is important is that you don't have any muscle.

I can see that. Many odd basement dwelling characters that never see the light of day or experience the love of a woman.
Please go away Kevin, you are a bore. You troll all day long in the UK group, and on Rob's page. Stop infecting this too you stupid little man.

Is there a total mileage he has now? he needs 2978 so what does he need a day from here on out.
I wonder if his quads will seize up going down the Appalachians. Walk up slow but the downhills even walking are gonna take a toll. Once the cramps come he will not have time to recover so they'll just start cycling in and out of cramping
Not pretty what he has to look forward to. Hope he makes it across for whatever it means to him.
Can he use hiking poles on the run? That would make any runner much more efficient going downhill and you would use the upper body.

but most cheaters are caught after fact, not red-handed while the act is still on going like this one.

My vocabulary will never be the same after this thread. Thank you, Brits!
Rob is a pillock, dweeb and numpty, and the idea this run is legit is bollocks. Fancy a cup of tea :-)))
SKINS needs to take a good hard look at the Mike Rossi thread, after Barb McKeever and the race management team decided not to DQ Rossi, in spite of all of the evidence that he cheated.
The reputations of McKeever, the race committee and the Lehigh Valley Marathon were seriously damaged by their decision to turn the other cheek.
Will SKINS make the same mistake?

Shortly after we began walking, together Robert started to run. We covered the next mile at about 9 minute pace with him gradually increasing the speed. He asked if he was going too fast and I told him I had a 100 miler coming up and wanted to run closer to the pace for that event. Robert then blasted off running the next mile at or around seven minutes, he slowed slightly, got a drink from the RV than began walking shortly afterwards. I plugged along at 10:30 per mile pace, and within a mile (32 minutes from when we began walking together) we were back together three miles down the road and walking again.
Sounds like a jerk move. Is this too fast? No, this is good. See ya slowpoke.
I can't believe you guys are going soft on this guy.
I am absolutely not rooting for him.
You have a man who went into this challenge and started cheating almost immediately. He's also got a team of fellow liars in his RV, meaning the cheating was pre-meditated--that's fraud.
He can't even walk 50 miles a day now. That means he was never in good enough shape to have even considered doing this. That means he's deluded, or a fool, or knew the cheating would get him to the finish line.
By rooting for him, or feeling sorry for him, or finding newfound respect for him, you are legitimizing his cheating.
Sorry, this guy is a disrespectful joke who deserves no sympathy or respect.
And you realize that once he finishes, his self-aggrandizement will make us all wretch. His acts of foolishness will turn into acts of heroism and grit on the pages of his autobiography.
There could not have been a better time for the #hatersgonnasayitsfake meme to blow up. Have any of RYsome cult followers started using it LOL.

Christ, the LRCers are dropping like flies! You need to stay strong, Heavy! Stay on point. He's a cheater and a scoundrel and this thing is about to go off the rails in the next two days - either he won't be able to maintain the averages or he'll quit/get "injured".
He's done.

TroLLminator wrote:Wrong. They will never upload/provide his TomTom data, that's been made clear. So we do need somebody on the ground to make sure he doesn't cheat the rest of the way. Everything now hinges on whether he gets the record or not. Honest running should delay him enough so that he doesn't beat the record. If he gets it, you can forget about anything that has been exposed here. He will be anointed and be considered a God.
But the method they are using really isn't stopping him from cheating. Like the other poster said, why aren't they running with him or have eyes on him all the time?
Nah. He wont risk that as he knows they could be watching any time.
I'm so annoyed this cheat gets to meet and hang out with Laz, who will probably give him a free place in Barkley. And i'm so annoyed people pay his living expenses for his family, and that this trip too has been paid for, and he never BUYS a race entry, when I go to wok to buy mine. Then he deliberately cheats. Ungrateful little sod
