That would be a shame if RY ends up with a health endangering physical collapse. I doubt anyone wants that.

1) Break the world record
2) 2 time USA crosser
3) Fastest European Crossing
4) Fastest British Crossing
If he fails to break the 'world record' he won't need to submit his GPS data to Guinness for verification, so he might just claim to have achieved points 2), 3) and 4). Anyone know what the times for 3) and 4) are? I remember reading about one of Britain's great runners doing it in the late 60s (?) but have a mind blank and can't think of his name
he ran barefoot across the USA. And we was an elite, unlike RY POS.
Thank you!! I did know this! Just a complete brain freeze.

Where the heck is Rojo? Does he understand watches yet? Has anyone been flown in?
I apologize for not being on here for about 24 hours.
I was focused on getting the camera footage of RY in Colorado/AZ as they have webcame. I figured out what cameras he ran by and when only to be told by the CO department of transportation that they don't archive the photos. A call to AZ revealed the same.
So hope of getting footage from those cameras is a false one.
The lady in CO suggested I try local police departments.
Here's one for the camera guys:
The tracker crossed this camera at sub 6 pace according to the tracker data:
http://cotrip.org/dimages/camera?imageURL=liveview/US50OldHardyRestAreaEast.jpg
It's line 1200 in the kml data, right in the middle of a 14.1 mile stretch at sub 6 pace. The tracker apparently passed it between 10:47 and 10:59 on May 28.
While RY appears to be taking his afternoon siesta at the Hampton Inn in Terre Haute, lets toss out some trivia questions and see who's been paying attention all along? No need to answer in the forum; just test your own knowledge of the overall goings on:
1) Do you know when and where the American flag on the back of RY's RV was acquired?
2) What is RY's RV's name?
3) What repair was done to the RV in Farmington, New Mexico, and what was the simple most likely explanation for the need for the repair?
4) Who was in the bunny suit, and why?

Is there a post on here somewhere with a summary of what is going on here? if not, is it possible for someone to make one and make it sticky on the first page?

True.
Getting an easily understood description of what happened in the desert would be great. But numbers aren't the only way to convince the average fan. Sometimes circumstantial evidence is better. Good pictures of Robert's skin turning from pasty white to pink just a few days after Laz and the crew arrived is pretty damning. Couple this with weather reports from the West, and even the dumbest fb-fan may understand that something is wrong.
Keep in mind that the people posting on RY's Facebook page aren't in any way representative of average people. They are irrationally loyal, and many have a vested interest in his journey. Rob has somehow created a little cult, and his followers are acting like typical cult members: blind to facts, aggressive, passionate.
The average person, whether a runner or not, will definitely have doubts about Rob's claims after reading a well-written, rational, well-researched article or two which dispassionately lays out the evidence.
It is impossible to convince Rob's fanatics of his wrong-doing. But the court of public opinion will definitely judge Rob harshly when all is said and done.
Consider the fact that Googling "Robert Young" and "ultra" or "marathon" now brings up articles on his cheating on the first results page. This fact will lead to serious consequences for Rob in terms of sponsorships and his "career" as an endurance "athlete". Justice is already being done.
How about trying the local news outlets? There can't be all that much exciting going on in some of the smaller outcroppings along the route. Maybe some up-and-coming reporter would want to make a name for him/herself by checking in on some of the surveillance camera locations along the route in their hometown(s). Just tell them that someone is trying to break a world record. They love chit like that.

Wasn't there another photo of him with the RV? Can't seem to find that on the blog post or FB...
Also I can't find any location data in the photos, did you use the ones from facebook or the blog?
You can only get exif data from blog photos. Facebook strips all exif data before posting.
Here is the photo of him with the RV on Facebook (I hope this link works):

[Q]Hi, the vehicle broke down around 6:30am -we continued to run about 36 miles to Laughlin and arrived around 12 - whilst some of the crew got the truck towed out about 9am and then had to tow again a further 2 times before heading to the same place where we have been all day since.
I will message you photos etc to show you right now [/q]
and then
[Q] Like stated before the vehicle broke down around 6:30am we have proof - many calls were made to get a toe truck again we have proof of times - we continued to run about 36 miles to Laughlin and arrived around 12 - whilst some of the crew got the truck towed out about 9am and then had to tow again a further 2 times before heading to the same place. The law be tracker was left in the vehicle, but we have witnesses, gps, photos and video proof.......
So do the maths as the route was fairly flat until a massive drop into the town - soon after 6:30 ok more like 6:45 and arrived around 12 that's 5 hrs 15 mind to do 36 miles on flat / downhill is that inconsistent -
I am wasting my time constantly replying to only you who seems to be the only negative towards me - like I have said please join me and I will prove to you first hand at what I am able to do ...... I am now going to reply to other people [/q]
This is the first time I ever heard reference to them getting towed three times.
He offers to send pictures to Marcus, whose been all over this thread. Marcus, did he do that?
Just something about this pic that sums this whole mental situation up!

Hopefully no one wants his health or life endangered. It's good that laz and others are there. And hopefully his family is left out of this whole matter. And most would probably cheer him on for logging consecutive 26-mile days. And most would probably cheer him on for running cross country. And most would probably cheer him on if he did it record time. Sure there are those who ridicule and mock most anything. But most don't. But if it looks like you exaggerate, distort, lie or cheat, especially while earning money, you bring yourself under intense scrutiny. Simply uploading good clean precise data of all his endeavors would prevent much of the scrutiny.
Other ways to cheat? Get a fake swiss guy on a bicycle to wear the tomtom?

Laz has been consistent that he is just there to observe (and felt obligated to help out when he felt they made dangerous decisions).
Abstractly, yes, but I think you are being far too literal. It isn't like they don't talk. They do. And Laz has asked questions. And has pointed out how "friendly" Rob is. But Laz has also told everyone that the crew is overwhelmed and not to expect answers to every little question... especially the silly ones. The question above isn't silly at all, but if posed to me many days after the fact, my memory might be oatmeal. His may or may not be, but I wouldn't trust the answer.
Also, as pointed out on the ulist today, the geezer doing lots of the work today is a guy named Ray and Ray is a talked. Ray and Rob will have lots and lots of time for chitchat. Would he ask every single goofy ass question from the letsrun keystone kops? No.
But it isn't like they say "sorry, Rob and crew, we are only here to observe."

I want to make a graphic on a map that we can send to media etc.

Just a minor remark: Facebook generates copies in various sizes and only takes the "pixel-picture data" through that resize algorithm.
The result is of course the same, no exif data.
ha, looks like SI is reporting it too:

You need to pay the frick attention! That's not what laz is doing. What needs to happen is some of the LRC keyboard cowboys need to get out there and start doing all the things they keep demanding others to do.

Rossi gets a shout-out too!
"Since then, social media has assisted people in calling out others for everything from performance-enhancing drugs to artificially enhanced race resumes. Consider the case of Mike Rossi. The Pennsylvania dad became an Internet sensation when he ripped school officials for punishing his children for attending his Boston Marathon run in 2015, only to have his own 2014 qualifying result called into question due to lack of photographic evidence and a dubious race resume."
Did anyone see how far east on highway 340 RY's tracker went today (Wednesday) before they turned around and drove back to Terre Haute for their afternoon break?
I tracked them on Google Maps as far as the intersection of HW 340 and N County Road 600W, but has to go to work and didnt' see when/where they turned around. At that point I had them at 17.6 miles from the Illinois/Indiana state line, where they stopped to rest in the middle of the night. And they were an even 40 miles from their starting point yesterday afternoon (Tuesday the 14th) at N Friendship Road west of Martinsville, Illinois.
