I wouldn't spend too much time on the sweat thing. The air is dry out there and sweat evaporates extremely fast. Even in 100deg temps i can run and not have a sweat ring on my shorts.

He needs to participate in a 6 or 10 day multi-day event that mirrors the types of times he put up early in this run for any sort of vindication. If he scrapes out 50 miles a day until NYC, it really doesn't prove much.
Robert has never claimed that he ran spectacular times out west. These times are entirely deduced from the tracker in the RV by lrc dweebs. He will dismiss any wrongdoing by saying that the GPS data on his watch is his proof that he ran the entire stretch, albeit at a slower time. And he is not going to give the GPS data to anyone.
Stop fantasizing.
Well, he got from point A to Point B in spectacular times over a several day stretch. don't need the live tracker to be accurate at the intermediate points to deduce that.
Lol at claiming GPS watch is his proof and refusing to turn it over. if he had proof, he would have turned it over at the first whispers of doubt and this thread would be dead or would be full of people rooting him on and crowning him the next king of ultra running.
I believe they covered about 14 miles since crossing the state line this morning at 1:53am. Needless to say, 14 miles in 10 hours isn't going to cut it. He'd need to put in another 40 miles before midnight just to stay on track.
I think this is probably it-- either today or tomorrow they're going to realize they have no shot.
I really hope he keeps running to NYC. Setting records doesn't have to be his thing. The guy clearly gets a high out of running and meeting people. There's nothing wrong with that. Just stop pretending to be something you're not.

The IP of this poster has been tracked down.
It's Kevin O'Rourke a.k.a. CoachKev.
One of the Strava Flybys has replied: "Can't say that I saw him or his RV. I would have liked to though."
Another one: " i don't recall seeing anyone walking or running during that leg of our trip. I do recall meeting another cyclist that was preriding for the raam race though, but he was from Switzerland. Anyway, I will reach out to my buddy to see if he remembers anything. I'll let you know"
I would like to welcome Rob and the boys back to Terre Haute. Our southern Hospitality is always a reason to come on back. Step right up to the West end saloon and me and my girls will serve up some Icy Cold PBR's to wet your whistles.
Terre Haute. Where the temperatures get haute and so do our girls! Yippidity.
I think they are done for this period. They've gone to the Hampton Inn off US41 & I-70 it appears. They're so toasted that they forgot to turn off the tracker.
The pictures of sweat are just circumstantial evidence. No way of knowing if he had just started running after showering with new clothes or what. His crew like to post videos of him running at 7 or 8 minute pace (which is only for a brief stint) and looking good, not haggard and worn down. It gives his followers the impression that his entire run is that strong.
This!
I am confident there is more video out there showing only the RV.
We have a file with suspect stretches:
http://pastebin.com/MDymT1V5So it's just a matter of finding out where the cameras are and then doing the FOIA requests.
Someone claimed he did like 25 FOIA request, can he give some more information please?

But in 100 degree weather you look somewhat exhausted. But Robert never did when he was cranking out 70-80 mile days and was even able to do sightseeing trips, dances and handstands.
Now, with some supervision he struggles already on day 3?
This guy is a fraud, no question about it.

Looks they they may have already thrown in the towel. tracker is back in terre haute and parked at a motel 6
LOL! LRC hall of fame gold!

Now the tracker is backtracking further east on I-70. Maybe the RV is going to get gas or food or something and RY still out there jog/walking.
In the blog they've mentioned talking various hotel owners into letting them have a room for a few hours to shower and sleep either for free or for a reduced rate (since he isn't actually staying overnight). Wouldn't be surprised if they're trying to do that now and have to try a few different spots, if they have any success at all. Exhibit #2,524 of this being about the most disorganized and clueless record attempt ever.
Is Laz playing rope-a-dope with Rob out there?
Playing the long game and ensuring he goes through the pain that he deserves before eventually sticking it to him.
Will there be a referee to eventually step in and stop this sham?
How long of a back track was it? Why not just pull over and sleep?
Do you think they are playing a cat n mouse game with Laz and the geezers?
I know I ask a lot of questions but I can't help it. I am inquisitive. Is that the correct spelling? Oops. That is another question. Sorry.

We don't need intricate logic using tracking/backtracking/phone calls/photos of his watch(!)/videos of crack whores/etc. to convince his fans that his run is not credible. To them times are completely irrelevant. The only thing that matters is that he has run X "marathons" during one day. 3 marathons at 18 min/mile pace is way more impressive than one 2h marathon.
We need clear photos, clear maps and clear quotes to take him down once and for all.

No doubt. Sweat or no sweat, the heat takes its toll.
Hi Runners,
This is Curtis. I am the on duty manager of Motel 6. I can neither confirm or deny that 3 white boys (one with a british accent) arrived at our motel this afternoon. In addition, I can neither confirm nor deny that 4 older bearded gentlemen joined them in the tavern and also followed them to a room to get cleaned up. So please do not contact the motel directly. We will give you no information whatsover.
Sincerely,
Curtis

"We will leave the light on for ya."
If the sweat don't fit you can't acquit!
Don't worry, they can't escape. As long as the tracker is on, they will be found. And if they turn it off and sneak away, everyone will know it's a cheat.
