After looking at the photos I see that Rob runs in Brooks Ravenna shoes. About 1 year old models. He alternates between the ugly royal blue, the ugly lime green and the ugly purplish red ones. I know these shoes because I run in the same ones. I am a slow as shjt hobby jogger. If that is not proof of something right there, I don't know what is.

It has been touched on before. But I invite everyone to take scroll through the pictures on Facebook. It is striking to see the difference in appearance in all of the photos dating after the Ultra boys hooked up with him. The before pics look like somebody on a fun loving road trip. The after pics look like somebody in an endurance event. For those that claim that this was the first part of the race and that is why he looks fresh, you are nutz. He should have looked spent after about 500 miles (desert, mountains).
For those that have a problems with the incredibly fast miles mixed in with the slower 12+ minute miles. Just remember, it can be a challenge to make an RV not run fast and slow without decent cruise control.
The difference between how he looked last week and this week are pretty striking. Not only is he sunburned, but he looks like he lost a lot of weight in just a few days.

Triathleteguru, this was meant to be a reply to you.

The moderation of posts is much stricter/better there... So I definitely worry that the noise created by trolls here on letsrun will end up causing harm(like I believe is ultimately what saved Rossi from a dq).
The biggest problem by far with this forum for me is people who cannot or will not trim quoted posts resulting in a mess to look at and follow.
Dealing with the trolling, abuse and off-topic crap is really about being experienced with the internet and not expecting it to be politely moderated.
Doubler's last post about Young calling out Vaz makes it really hard to understand why Young doesn't appear to accept that if you want your claims to be believed then making your full GPS info public is an absolute necessity, Anyone saying "Why should I?" seems to not understand the point they were themselves making.

17.5 miles in 10.4 hours are 1.666 miles per hour. Truly the speed of an up and coming ultrarunning superstar.
I think Robert is really hurting right now.
He will be forced to 90% walking, and very limited sleep. Can't walk 60 miles and get a good night's rest.
Problem is, that could be explained by just wearing down from the entire run. But if Laz and crew being there forced the result- mission accomplished - no record - and guaranteed scrutiny from the start of any other attempts.
There are claims that he is taking Joe Fejes up on his offer and will participate on Sri Chinmoy.
He needs to participate in a 6 or 10 day multi-day event that mirrors the types of times he put up early in this run for any sort of vindication. If he scrapes out 50 miles a day until NYC, it really doesn't prove much.
I don't think we should give up on finding more data. We know that he ran several impossible legs out west with long stretches at 5 and 6 minute pace in heat, in wind, at altitude, etc. We need to find some more data around those sections of the journey. During the Rossi debacle, the Letsrun.com community really came through in crowdsourcing the effort of data collection.
Perhaps we split up the western part of the journey in 20-50 mile increments. Manage it on google sheets. People sign up for an increment......especially if you live nearby that section. Each person does what they can to investigate their section. You really own your section. For instance, using google maps and Google street view, really figure out what is there and where there might be cameras or other sources of data. Investigate what highway traffic cams are there. Figure out where a FOIA request for video might make sense. There are probably other ways to investigate your section and others can chime in.
Is someone willing to lead this up?(it can't be me). I am sure we will get some volunteers for the sections.

He probably won't run a 6 or 10 day race ever, he probably will never do any other race as well. Today is the day where the truth comes to light.

Robert has never claimed that he ran spectacular times out west. These times are entirely deduced from the tracker in the RV by lrc dweebs. He will dismiss any wrongdoing by saying that the GPS data on his watch is his proof that he ran the entire stretch, albeit at a slower time. And he is not going to give the GPS data to anyone.
Stop fantasizing.

June 15. Is he falling apart? It would be nice if there was a camera on him when he quits.

He claimed to have run an average of 70 miles a day over a month. THAT is spectacular.

Too bad that's not true. They posted pictures of supposed GPS watch track summaries on facebook that were supposed to back up the Live Tracker. I verified the most egregious of the GPS watch tracks did indeed match to the Live Tracker, including several 25+ mile @ 6:45ish/mile paces.
Has anyone noticed that the RV is now back in Terre Haute?

Is it already over?
Weather in twenty-nine palms, CA was 95 on May 14.
RY doesn't sweat as per his FB posts
although he can wet his hair with his water bottle (https://www.facebook.com/marathonmanuk/photos/a.1006961546054770.1073741835.612632838820978/1015291338555124/?type=3&theater).
Look at the pictures through the desert and around Flagstaff where he was dropping sub-36 minute 10Ks and stringing 6-minute miles together. Never sweaty and his shirt never shows salt lines.
Also looks like he always just combed his hair and put gel in it:
Suddenly, now that Laz is there, he is a sweating machine, he's soaked, he's burnt, and his hair is draped over his face (first time)

Now at Holiday Inn Express (near the airport). But you're right. It had to backtrack to get there.

Robert probably needs another massage after a tough night of crawling along with 1.66 mph.
Now at McDonalds across the street.

It's not what we need. This whole thing is soooo simple: We don't need Laz there right now. We don't need Let'sRunners there. We don't need ultra runners there. We need him to upload his TomTom data from the start of the run. That's ALL we need.
No dumb dumb, that's not all we need.
Now the tracker is backtracking further east on I-70. Maybe the RV is going to get gas or food or something and RY still out there jog/walking.
