LOL. This "tracking" is no match for Robert to get around.

You all believe Laz is down there because someone reposted two text messages he sent, but you refuse to believe Rob is running across America despite him providing a lot more detail than Laz?
Good lord - are you this dense in real life or just here?
Lighten up, Francis. That post was funny. The next step is to send a bigger team to monitor the team that is monitoring Laz's team that is monitoring Rob's team. Anyway, if you can't see the pure comedy in this farce you really need to take a step back.
Caught up with him right before going into Casey Illinois. He was sweating and super hot as the heat index is 98° Lazarus lake was cheering him on famed for the being the founder of Barclays marathon. He was definitely walking next to the van when I pulled up behind him. And he definitely showed signs that he had been working hard and running/walking all morning. I got a picture with him and he commented that he had some real troubles last night and made some mistakes and was feeling not very good this morning.

Easy there, big fella. Lighten up. There are plenty of letsrunners on this thread trying to dig up facts. Someone else was trying to get 27 camera videos via FOIA. Others had enough foresight to download the kml file and scrutinize it for anomalies. Others created an elaborate spreadsheet in google docs showing the distances, time, and paces based on RY's FB photos of data. Others scrutinized his book to point out inconsistencies with the mapmyrun data. Others have been digging up obscure online info and examining the wikipedia edits. Just because we can't all drop our jobs and families spend a week waiting in the trees to watch some Brit walk on an interstate doesn't mean we're not trying to dig up facts.
Mo Farrah and Paula Radcliffe sponsor him?

Good job - able to post pic up here?

If you were on record pace 2/3 across the country, you would hand all your date over to a well known psychopath who wants nothing better than to destroy all you've worked for. BS, no you wouldn't. You're just trying to destroy what he's doing, and they're right to not even talk to you.
Now I have to figure out how to post pictures and video

Ok. I spoke to Laz maybe 30 minutes ago. He is quite the characater. He says that it looked like RY was going to have an awful day but he sucked it up and has been gutting it out this mornign to get in the miles needed for the day (their day is basically motel to motel).
I'm going to a) Try to contract Strava
B) Ty to get the viceos from Colorado since no one else seems to be bothering with facts.
Rojo,
If you talk to Laz again, can you ask if we can just get a clear photo (or photos) of the log from May 17 and 18? If they have some sort of tech phobia, that's fine. Just show us the handwritten log for those days.

I'm sure that Lazarus is a man of integrity and he's not doing this for money or publicity. I have confidence that he is the type of man that will do something if he says he's going to do something. I also think he nucking futs and his interpretation of what he said he'd do might be very different from a rational person.
.
Thanks Letsrun for the thread that keeps on giving! Definitely best thread of all time rojo.

Yikes, that's not an amount to laugh at now - anyone know where he stands in terms of fraud?
I seriously think his deception with running is only the start of things to come out. I think we are looking at one heck of a serial conman in many walks of life.
Anyone know why his first relationship failed and does he still support his first child? Surely he must since he's doing it for the kids.
This is the kind of stuff that RY and crew are going to use to justify not sharing any data. It's also really creepy. Let's just keep the focus on running, particularly this particular WR attempt.
Maybe I'll email Rojo my pics.
So Laz writes for a living, but can't spell 'wait'?

The possibility of Laz seeking financial benefit for this venture is amusing. Check out the entry fee cost for Barkley:

This is insane. if Laz won't touch it - and he shouldn't given his eccentricities - have him get Rob on the record on video about why he won't provide the only data that will verify his run.
to be clear, we need:
Full, unedited, raw data from the Tom Tom that was uploaded to the tomtom site before they posted all those blurry screenshots shared on Facebook. we should focus on the runs they uploaded before they attracted scrutiny. it's important to get the early uploads that we know they did because that data is less likely to be manipulated. Later uploads, even of early runs, could be faked.
They can share that by linking the tomtom to strava. It won't change any of the underlying data. That data will stay on tomtom.
How much would you be willing to pay rob (or his charity) for his actual tomtom device so we can examine it, with everything videotaped? he can verify on video that it is untouched and has all relevant data before he puts it in a sealed bag, send it to you (or a designated third party) who breaks the seal and extracts the data on it all on video.

Afraid this is true. RY wants to satisfy guinness and those loyal to him as donors and supporters on FB, not the lynch mob out to get him. And I imagine Laz has little regard for letsrun. Look at the way he's been thrown under the bus on this thread alone, and he has a common goal with those on here and made the time and effort to go track RY. It's one thing to joke about his methods and spotty ulist posts, but the vitriol here is unwarranted.
This is the funniest trolling of LRC that I have ever read. LRCers getting their running shorts in a bind over another meaningless record. Keep it up kids! RY & Company has played LRC beautifully. Congratulations!
