Sweet Mother of God. If that fake mustache guinness record is falsified, I have lost all faith in humanity. If one can't trust these Guinness World records, what sense is there in living?

Has any thread grown this fast before? It's 129 pages already, I can't read through that. Even with the Rossi thread people could just read the LetsRun article and get the details - someone needs to write a summary.
For example - who's the Kevin fan boi? Is he in the RV?
You are right, let me help you out. Kevin is actually the name of the RV they ride in. It turned out Rob was playing a huge joke on all of us. We should have known the world record he was trying to achieve is for the 'slowest USA cross country drive in an RV by a Brit'. So Rob has been riding Kevin all along. I don't want to spoil it for you, so you can just buy Rob's book a few months from now if you want to know how it ends. Your welcome.
If you look at the timestamps for when the RV goes past the first sign and when it passes the pole across the street from the carwash, it takes the RV 20 seconds to drive by the gas station; it took the walker in the other video over a minute to travel the same distance. The RV was going three times as fast as Rob.
I checked the weather range for Emporia KS on June 6 the day he was either walking or riding through and the low for the day was 73 and the high was 88. So why would an endurance runner be wearing pants and jacket that evening in the middle of a 3,000 mile run? Did he get the chills?
Does this "laz" guy have the mental capacity to be able to report what is going on?
I wouldn't be surprised if he is following Bob and Mable's RV on their cross country trip to see their grandchildren.

Thank you. Just wow. So the guy has basically been selling bull shlt for years? How could anyone buy into the first three marathon story?
Has there been a bigger running con ever done? Kip Litton invented an entire marathon, but the effort and time commitment to drive slowly across america surely has to be a record setting bs effort?

From this thread I've learned that Guinness World Records is a scam.
The fact that no one can say for certain whether the person in the video is:
1. A crackhead wandering aimlessly
OR
2. A man breaking a running record
Says all we need to know.

Stop being a typical lazy millennial and go back and read!
According to google streetview gps data for the position of the sign and pole across the street by Mr G's, Rob did the (what should be..) now famous and highly contested ~250ft "Mr. G's Carwash Strava Segment" at an incredible 21min/mile pace.
Jim sounds like a jealous putz.
Nobody ever heard of this guy until the LR thread. Nobody knew of this run he was doing until this thread. His only methods of promoting himself is through facebook where one would need to seek him out to follow him.
Just because you wouldn't seek attention in your run, doesn't make someone else who does bring attention to his run wrong.

I'm not seeing mud but then I guess no one would expect me to. But come on, a man run/walking past this spot with Rob's gait carrying a flashlight in his left hand as Rob does, five minutes after the RV. That has got to be some major councidence!
Is this the troll version of you? If not I think you just jumped the shark.

Stay tuned LRC - we have you covered!
Did laz communicate this from 1890? Has someone informed him of more modern methods of communication than pigeon post, flag semaphore, and beacons? If he happens to be using a cell phone, can he elaborate a bit more, perhaps in an email, online post, or via phone call?
Dots and Dashes, my friend.

You guys are overlooking the obvious. That wasn't Rob strolling down the street. He had stopped to vacuum out that SUV.
...so here we are, looking at a grainy gas station surveillance video of a late-night pedestrian and are supposed to take this as some sort of evidence that Rob was walk/running far behind his support vehicle???
Makes you think how great it would be if we had a better way to document this run... Oh yeah, we do, a GPS/HRM watch like almost every semi-serious jogger uses these days...
It is amazing what some people expect other people will believe. Just the notion that Rob would be on his own, far behind his support vehicle (which is travelling faster than his pace anyway) just does not make sense. The obvious and safe way would be in front.
I know, we could go on and on and on with all the other crazy in this thread (that astounding run through the desert, the "pro" cycling career, using a ripped-off photo of another rider as "evidence"...)
Rob Young certainly looks like a fraud.
Like Mike Rossi, if he really was "innocent" he should be able to come up with the evidence to clearly disprove the allegations with no problem. That they can't says it all. Rob is well on the way to destroying his reputation the way that clown Rossi has. Oh well, at least it looks like he is actually a much better runner than Rossi...
Hey guys, just thought I'd check in and share my inspiring story with you:
Ok, back up to speed - I had to slow to a 6 minute mile to post this.

If this is not an indictment on the whole Ultra "running" movement, I am not sure what is.
