Why am I surprised? Should expect this terrible coverage all the way around but I always hope for the best

Why did Ches drift out to the second land to let someone else lead?
Pack is real now, Ches, Futsum, Pierce Murphy, Gabe Gonzales look strong. 62 lap for the break.
400 to go ~28:13. Ches takes lead right away and makes his push but Futsum is cloooose!
That was WAY too easy for ches
Nope. Ches easy win 29:09, Futsum 2nd, Gabe Gonzales 3rd
Ches=Greatest collegiate runner of all time?
Ches drops a 55 last lap and blows the doors off everyone.
Ches closes in 55 or 56, easing up the final 50.
I thought Futsum would be able to hold on... Dropped with 300 to go and not even a real race.
With 250m to go "Things are definitely heating up" you think? Brilliant commentary

What an embarassing race all around.

Not even GOAT of his school.
Gabe Gonzales in 3rd? - BIG unexpected points for the HOGS.
Larry claims the final lap was 57.24, maybe he started his watch early?

What the hell is up with Dwight and Larry tonight? I've been watching with baseball in the background and haven't been listening that closely but it seems like every time I listen Dwight is correcting Larry about some sort of mixed up stat.
1) Don't mess up the stats
2) I wouldn't correct my partner that much but it's tough.
The announcing has been awful. On the final lap, Larry was giving out guys bios. He has all of these dumb things on a piece of paper that he must say when their name comes up. Let the convo flow.
Edward Cheserek 29:09
Futsum Zienasellasie 29:10
Gabe Gonzalez 29:11
Pierce Murphy 29:12
Reid Buchanan 29:13
Stupid effing race, lets run easy so that Ches is fresh for the 5K.
What the Fudge, why the hell doesn't someone race? You are going to lose anyways?
It's really un-friggen-believeable that nobody realizes you can't jog around for 9k and expect to beat Ches. How many titles does this guy have to win before someone, I don't know, tries to make a race of it? Even if you end up DNFing at least you made an effort to win.

It is funny people complain about the commentary but they complain when events aren't on tv. Just be happy you can even watch it.
On another note, someone needs to take out the 5k at a pace they don't think they can do (Under 13:20) and see if they can burn out Ches. Maybe they can surprise themselves and hit a new pr and win a championship. There is no way anyone will win besides Ches if they don't push the pace even more than they may want.
