34 years old is within the window that a lot of elite runners set their half marathon PR, at least until so many of the Kenyans started running them at age 20 or so.
Non record eligible course anyway though.

Yea, too bad she can't hang on in a marathon.
Was this in trainers?

There is a huge difference between a transfusion and an injection. Please learn the difference, especially when insinuating nefarious activity. Further, there is nothing "controversial" about prp, and certainly nothing illegal:
https://www.hss.edu/condition-list_prp-injections.aspWould you mind posting a link regarding her tue's and/or thyroid history? I was not aware of that, and I'd be interested to edicate myself on that specific subject. Thank you in advance.
There is a difference but both are in the grey area for most of us. One is a little darker grey but both are definitely grey.
Justify away.
There are too many articles to cite on Flanagan's thyroid history. Here is a good start, http://www.marathonandbeyond.com/choices/Morales2010.pdf

Great! Shalane is one of my favorite runners, I hope she continues to have this upward trajectory straight through the Olympic games

I'm with ya. I hope she can turn the tables and reestablish herself as the top American. I hated the way that Amy beat her so badly at the trials and Desi has beat her the last two.

Can anyone name a runner--just one--that has zero marks against him/her--no TUEs, no transfusions or "injections," or creams, gels, gummies, alleged microdosing, or GNC-purchased steriod? Is there even one such person? One with no dark cloud of gossip or suspicion? One?

Yes, me. I haven't even been to a doctor in about 8 years.
You can add me to the list, too, but I really was referring to a professional or "known" runner. If you happen to be one, then I apologize for assuming that you are not. In any case, I am certainly not professional or "known," but I thank heaven I am clean. I never thought being clean would be such an accomplishment. Perhaps I should "retire" while I am still "on top"?
The way 95% of the US distance runners are running this season I wouldn't expect any of them to be on drugs. In fact, I don't even know if they're training or if they're just taking selfies in workout attire all day.
USA Half marathon championships were today. 6 men 50-59 ran sub 1:20. In Letsrun world, THEY SUCK!!! Should be ashamed for even lining up.
Okay...but my question still stands--can you name one? Just one?

You old fool. You should have hung it up before making such a shameful display. How could you?
