I understand the distance guys don't want to chase times in Atlanta but too bad they couldn't at least put together a men's 800m. As the women showed, hot weather is fine for two laps.
Most of the mens 800m guys train in the NW, either at OTC or Beasts. Berian obviously in Big Bear. There's also more nervousness among the men, with so many not performing well.
The women aren't camped out in the same way. Wilson at Temple Uni(?) I think, Price still in Tennessee. Not that either of them were in the race though...
Francis looked vulnerable with 100m to go, Trotter got close. But Francis held on well, pulling away to 50.8
