Mo = Floyd Mayweather. Doesn't ever take a risk, not willing to give an ounce of effort more than necessary to win. Him continually going to the front and slowing the pace was pathetic. Kenny B was spot on with his analysis of Mo.
LOL mo can't hear you all his gold medals make lots of noise when they clank together hahahaha
this really shows how poor 27-flat is barrier wise for kenyans
these 2 kids who ran ?26'54 & 27'02 had no serious 10k clockings before & to call them 3rd rate kenyan 10k runners woud be an insult to 3rd rate kenyan 10k runners
& these "insult to 3rd rate kenyan 10k runners" ran 27-flat or much better
the key is there to beat mo for the 1st rate kenyans :
run flat-out from gun, no surges, no backing off, just hammer it from gun adapted according to conditions which for rio woud be 26'20/26'25 "oslo" pushed out to maybe 26'40 as it's likely to be hot/humid in rio
& before anyone says it, they didn't run it flat-out from gun in peking, but ambled for coupla laps at start & messed around with surges which won't hurt mo
to wreck him, go out & hammer 26'20/26'25 modified for weather
if these kids who are insult to 3rd rate kenyan 10k runners can go as fast as 26'54 in a waxing/waning race ( probably couda gone 26'45 if flat-out from gun ), the top boys can go 26'20/26'25 modified for weather
If this worked then it would have been done by now.
Paul Tergat is the only Kenyan who has ever run sub-26:30.
Micah Kogo is the only other Kenyan who has ever won a 10000m race in a time faster than 26:49.

You mo farah haters are pathetic
You are paranoid. I have always defended Mo Farah as one of the pretty good runners of all time. Not the best, but he's certainly very competitive and has beaten quite a few good runners in slow races. Give him his due, I say.
And his trick of shaving his head shiny bald is clever and shows understanding of heat management. Props to him for that too. Most people don't realize why he does that.
Chris Derrick what the heck. Does he have the Olympic Trials standard?!

Definitely, he did. Kigen got Mo up on his side, asked if he wanted to do "the usual deal" - he'll let Mo win if he gets the 1st prize money (including what he gets for second).
The GOAT Augustine Choge also was in the race. Easily won in 26.31. Unfortunally the cameraman missed him.
Interesting thread. Entertaining at times. I like the conspiracy theory aspects, and recent history shows that these 10K races are set up for Mo and Galen.
Still have some questions.
Did the live feed track number of viewers? I'd like to hear how many actually watched it, and if that number approached the number of people in the stands.
Derrick looked so good just a little over a year ago, WTF?
Who is dretch? And why?

What in the world in going on with Chris Derrick? I know he was injured, but he has been back running for 6 months now. Also, he looks very old and worn out/down, not good.
Derrick is DONE.
Probably due to the side effects of taking PEDs at such a young age. Let this be a lesson to you youngins.
Who is this Sitonik guy anyway?
I absolutely hate how Mo keeps complaining that it wasn't fast enough. Whenever he leads its always when he slows down the pace or kicks.
He needs to learn how to front run and actually push the pace if he wants to run fast.
Then again, it's working for him.
Double gold at OG again for him this year.

11 African women and Huddle in lead pack.
HUddle struggling now in back of pack.
Obiri leads at 11:12.8 with 3 to go
Americans just are not prepared for the surges.
Lexi just learned that is not a watered down american road race, its international track and field.
She just took the class, doesn't mean she learned from it. Easy to pass it off saying "I had a bad race" without having to think about why.
More of the same for in the future, I expect.
Also, Derrick is pulling a Hasay.
Who's career would you rather have at this point: Hasay, Derrick or Fernandez?

& tergat ran 13'17/13'10 splits with 7'50 for last 3k ( 26'06 pace !!! )
he shouda run at worst ~ 26'20 that day if flat-out from gun, perhaps closer to 26'15
nick kemboi who ran 26'30 behind geb was coached by canova who quoted 1'23 for the last 600 which was 55+ pace for 400 which they kept going for last 600m !!!
kemboi shouda been close to 26'20 that day if pace had been fast from gun
therefore, 26'30 flat-out from gun shoud not have been a big barrier for elite kenyans in past & certainly not today
aa wrote:If this worked then it would have been done by now
tell me when they have attempted it ?
certainly not in past 4 global 10ks
peking started off at an amble for few laps & then surging/slowing which isn't hammering it from gun
you are given 25 laps to break him
you have to use every cm of it
by all accounts mo had plenty of trouble from some 3rd rate kenyans who tried some semblance of fast pace yesterday, so he woud likely struggle even more with some 1st raters

Rop is a 12:51 guy, why would he be the rabbit?
If you watched the race, he put himself in second right behind the first rabbit. He also looked back repeatedly to pace the race and never beckoned for anyone else to pace. In addition, when he came close to half way, around which he would drop out, he began to surge as many rabbits do just before they drop out. Perhaps just the bad ones but nonetheless a hallmark of rabbits.
Regarding calling these 27 - flat kenyans "4th rate", perhaps that might've been true but people are not just born as 27 flat 10,000m runners... You are not stuck in the echelon in which first emerge. Track is notoriously a sport where we are able to move upwards in ability and rank. Mo Farah might've been called a second rate elite until transitioning to Alberto salazar... should we continue to call him second rate? Usually, these east africans are given the opportunity to compete in meets like this when they are of the fitness level to deserve the opportunity. This in turn gives the appearance that Naoribi is full of 26:55 guys who simply have not been given their opportunity. I'm doubtless that there are some very very good runners stuck in kenya but perhaps not as many as we might be lead to believe by the coming out of many greats.
What does yours say A$$H$LE??? Judging people by something that they don't control is idiot. Karma is a bit$h. Wait for it pal, you'll have that bald spot quicker than you think.
