This is just the first of several to come...http://niagara.usatf.org/News/Eason-Appointed-Interim-President.aspx
Hey polevalutpower, don't you have a conflict of interest with athletic.net. Please disclose. Thank you.

I have worked closely with them in the past. I got the college section of their database off the ground using (with permission) data that VaultnGus originally put together, and did a looooooot of data entry before TFRRS came around.
I think I got paid a very small amount at that time, maybe 7 years ago? Unfortunately, they didn't have the resources to pay me for doing collegiate stuff on a regular basis, and once I started having kids, I ran out of time and energy for volunteer data entry.
I haven't done any work for them in years. I have great respect for the Bowdoins and David Johnson. I haven't had much contact with them the past few years and actually had no idea they'd been talking with the National Office about registration.
I think athletic.net is the better registration system, but I don't agree with the Board suspending a large chunk of people over this issue...
I've followed this from afar, but as a timer, I hated Coach O. It works, but just barely. I have significant complaints about the system's basic design which ultimately made it less than functional. I received complaints from many club coaches, as there's nothing quite like showing up to a meet and finding out an entire club isn't in the timing database. (sometimes this issue gets resolved before arriving to the meet, but sometimes not)
I've not yet logged in to Athletic.net yet to see how it will work, as the age group meets I've been doing are still using Coach O. I think Milesplit, Athletic.net, and Direct Athletics would all do as good of a job, but they have their own quirks.
To a certain extent, if people would come forward with constructive criticism to the right people, even CoachO would be salvageable. But all of this starts with a new infrastructure.
I use MeetPro and Hy-tek interchangeably, and can say with certainty, Hy-tek's day is coming, and once a major structure like USATF or AAU makes the call to move over, and demands it, people are going to be more than happy with the result, but the unfamiliarity with MeetPro is a problem. As a timer, I can keep the costs down to association championships and club meets be going with MeetPro. I can teach someone to use it in about 20 minutes and anything that they can't do by the end of that time, I can talk them through while running Lynx and ResulTV.
The people concerned with moving to DA in the winter were completely overwhelmed with the idea that it somehow couldn't be programmed. Smaller clubs were concerned that the price would be higher.
I understand the reluctance to change, but I also understand most of these meets are happening in the next four weekends... It could be a real shit-show.
David Greifinger has posted an opinion letter on behalf of the suspended members.

This helps fill in some of the gaps I had in the timeline of everything. Greifinger claims the board's action violates the Amateur Sports Act.
I'd there a full list of the suspended members?

The comments on this link should give you a pretty good idea, but I am going to reach out to the National Office for some clarification.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/162889787132224/permalink/1034579689963225/No misinformation here. Davin Greifinger is threatening to sue both USATF and anyone carrying out its orders:

Any news on this?
Sidebar - can anyone tell how much USAT&Ftv was sold to RunnerSpace for?
Also, was it sold as it was too much of a pain to operate within the organizational structure of USAT&F?
Thanks much.

They are listed in this letter from Cliff Wiley:
http://www.trackandfieldnews.com/index.php/display-article?arId=126837A highlight from the letter:
It is difficult for me to accept that the organization that has been so much a part of my life for the past 38 years, now resembles a third world dictatorship, where elected representatives can be charged, convicted and sentenced without a hearing. Somehow we have become an organization where our Board of Directors are willing to ignore the by-laws that govern all of us, to silence the voices of those who would dare speak out against their transgressions. This is the kind of thing we see in a B rated movie, where the junta declares an emergency, expels the opposing elected officials, then replaces them with poppets they can control.
Coach O is Charles Oliver former Tenn. Coach who has had a nice and well run Youth Service and products Track Biz of various kinds going for years. Not a large Corp. Same thing for the youth oriented Co. that did Youth Clearances TClogic that is also done after this year as National is going to use another larger Nat'l system.
$$
The Youth committee liked using excellent smaller youth oriented contractors who also happened to be minority owned and run.
National wants to be standard across the board for these services for all it's constituencies.
Not all members of the Youth Executive Committee were listed in his letter.

So were the only members suspended the ones who wanted to use the wrong vendor?
They were all suspended by National whether they were listed in Cliff's letter or not. Their local USATF Associations have to decide if they will suspend them from activity besides being on the National Youth Exec. Committee. Some will decide not to do so based on the Attorney's warning letter and or just supporting their person. The Niagara Assoc. already suspended their Pres. as seen above.
No, I really think you desire power, but only find in this venue a sympathetic ear....
Why don't you launch a grass roots campaign for ustaf presidency?
You have much to say, but who is listening LRC folk?
FYI there are 750 regular users of this site and the majority are not USATF members or in any position of influence.
So, just stop it.

Not accurate if the letter from the lawyer, linked some posts up, is correct. He said they were stricken from the membership entirely! Erased. As if never existed.
Wow! I just checked on a person and they are no longer in the membership data base!
