Would be fun to see, but keep in mind that Jager and Blankenship are the only Americans in the Bowerman mile... meaning that people like Manzano, Wheating, Casey, etc are in the B heat. A bit hard to throw a HS kid in Bowerman when people with Olympic medals were turned away. That said, Slagowski in the other heat would be great to see... with his speed, if he could hang on from 800-1200, who knows?

My problem with Rupp not "wanting to disrupt his training" to race is a perfect example of why it's hard to be a T&F fan. I'm bringing my whole family to watch the meet, ABnB rooms, tickets and time away from our businesses and Rupp or Centro are both too busy training to race? I probably wouldn't mind as much if they weren't part of the pre meet hype.
Maybe there is something to all this anti Nike sentiment that the Brojos constantly push on us.
I don't constantly push anti nike on anyone. I'm as big of jager fan as there is. Kiprop is like a near god. Wejo loved paula. It's laughable that we are viewed as anti-nike for the simple fact that we don't like the riches guy in the room getting to do whatever they hell they want with no accountable. If a doper is enjoying the Trials in a VIP suite this year, you can damn bet I'll blast it on the front page even if they are with Newton .

http://www.letsrun.com/2012/block-0804.phpWhy are they not announcing the field for the 10000m. Surely all the athletes are there already. There should be no problem in providing a starting list. Yes, there are always last minute scratches. That's fine. What are they doing?
I think this would be some serious hype getting slagowski in the Bowerman with Hunter. I honestly was completely on the Hunter bandwagon but after seeing that 800 and mile. Also in a recent interview he said he hasnt been pushed all year. I think he has a shot at 355 ish. Or hell maybe they both do something magical. This is the year to make this happen.

Centrowitz should be fine by then though. A stress reaction is no big deal, he is just being safe.
re: "A stress reaction is no big deal"
In an Olympic year, one month before the trails, a stress reaction can be a big deal. Actually, at this time of the year, anything that would cause you to miss more than couple days of training is a big deal.
Trails?????????? "I" and "a" are not even close to each other on the keyboard. Have some professional pride!
For the record, I posted rumors of a Centro injury on May 11th.
Everyone ripped me to shreds per LRC message board status quo.

Mic drop....I'm out.
If I recall correctly, Centro had a stress reaction in 2012 and managed to finish 4th in London.
What kind of stress reaction has you running again after 4 weeks???
Keep in mind Treniere Mosier withdrew from Worlds due to "injury," where the factual, documented truth was she refused to take a random drug test upon entering the county. Not saying this happened to Centro, but would it surprise you?
firstly, Stress reactions aren't stress fratctures...all 'reactions' should take less than 4 weeks and some no time depending on when it starts recalcifying.
secondly, he didn't have a stress reaction in 2012, he actually bumped his knee on a table and had surgery on April 10, 2012.

Dude it's a stress reaction not a stress fracture.

Probably not since refusing to take a test is the same as testing positive. And you can bet that USADA wouldn't let it slide. Now if it was a IAAF test...
