At what point do people start asking for a credit or refund from Pre and USATF.TV? Some people bought tix and subscribed based on who was going to run. Dibaba, Felix and now Centro are out. Those are pretty big names to be droping out this close to the meet.
Hate to break it to you but the main portion of the meet is on NBC (and NBCSN app) not USATF.TV. USATF.TV is for Friday and presumably you could watch afterwards.

A major portion, eh? Have you ever watch running meets on NBC? Ads, ads, ads, constant interruptions, human interest stories, jabbering announcers, clueless about T&F announcers. Yup.

Speaking of Friday...where is the 10,000 start list?
RED FLAG for Pain Killers and Opioids?

Fuhgeddaboudit. This is part of the problem with the popularity of T&F in general. Unlike golf or car racing, where you can pretty much count on everyone being at every big event, it's very hit-and-miss in T&F. I don't know if this problem can ever be solved, but I would agree with you that it's a problem. However, it's not unique to the Prefontaine Classic, for which many of the tickets were sold long before any of the competing athletes were announced.

I read somewhere that ROBBY ANDREWS is the future of US 1500m running
Centrowitz should be fine by then though. A stress reaction is no big deal, he is just being safe.
re: "A stress reaction is no big deal"
In an Olympic year, one month before the trails, a stress reaction can be a big deal. Actually, at this time of the year, anything that would cause you to miss more than couple days of training is a big deal.
My problem with Rupp not "wanting to disrupt his training" to race is a perfect example of why it's hard to be a T&F fan. I'm bringing my whole family to watch the meet, ABnB rooms, tickets and time away from our businesses and Rupp or Centro are both too busy training to race? I probably wouldn't mind as much if they weren't part of the pre meet hype.
Maybe there is something to all this anti Nike sentiment that the Brojos constantly push on us.

As for Centro, there's been talk that David Torrence could be switching to a Central American country (Was it Peru?). Might you be tempted to try the US??
peru is in south america.
No big deal for me. It's Kiprop I want to see do something "special".
What a bunch of whining negative nancies.
Centro got hurt in 2012 in March and took a month off. He was a bit off that summer but still made the team and placed 4th at the Olympics.
Kind of sucks to be healthy every year but get hurt in spring 2012 and spring 2016.
he should be ok wrote:

And 2020 if AlSal is still his coach.

Have you ever watched a track meet in person? There are long stretches of nothing while they set up hurdles, take down hurdles, set up blocks, have runners stand around the start line, followed by 10 seconds to four minutes of excitement. Even the first 10 minutes of a 5,000 are rarely worth watching. A track meet does not make for spellbinding TV.

You must be one of those people who like the long cutaways during the majority of long distance races.

Good, always refreshing to see a dirty athlete take a knock.
For all he get's propped up by Nike, USATF, USADA - a good ol' fashioned injury just sometimes can't be stopped.

Oh yea.
Great point. Put Slagowski in now!!!
In my opinion that is as bad an idea as Hunter being in the Bowerman mile. The race has been notably faster recently than it was in 2001 with Webb.

A first two laps like last year might work, but if it is like 2014 no high school athlete belongs in the field. I'd rather see them all go head to head in a race won in 3:53 with a bunch in the mid-3:50s. I think the National Mile race is the best place for all 3 high schoolers.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
