Saarel really looked good.
And now we know what Ben Saarel is capable of when he isn't getting crushed by schoolwork.
Hopefully he sticks around in Boulder following graduation and works with Wetmore towards becoming the worthy professional runner he is clearly capable of becoming.
^ Seems like his racing here tonight is indicative of such a pursuit :)

Rojo--I take it from this post that there is no results page. How can that be? I'm tempted to speak of the level of ineptitude at work here, but I must be missing something.
Correct. I did post earlier that if I was USATF, I would consider not posting live results to force people to watch. But maybe not. It's pretty annoying in practice.
But if I was them I would definitely only post full aggregate results after the meet is over. I think they should encourage people to be fans of the whole sport. Or at a minimum, all meets should have a button where you can see an aggregate results instead of having to go event by event.
But after the debacle with the live timing with USATF and Flotrack at the marathon trials, it could be ineptitude. Who knows.
We didn't rip them enough for that. The trials were a disgrace.
What's up with Diego? Not just running poorly, but why 1500s and not 5k/10k?
Woooooo! Damn I didn't think Macnamara had a kick, he looks good!
Literally what even is this commentary
IT's official. I'm old. When I was young, I loved watching stuff like this as I was friends with the guys and what not.. Now watching this and Stanford bores me for the most part. All I need to see is the results. And everyone looks fat and slow compared to the DL runners.
Although i love jordan mcnamara. that was nice. 3:38 win in heat 3.

J. Mac is back?
Saarel is only a junior, and he's redshirting (I assume), which will give him two more outdoor track seasons).

Same thing with lomong. Running poorly and doing 800s for some reason
This whole meet is like a flashback to U.S.distance running 10 years ago
So. Damn. Slow.
Most people tonight, both genders, have been struggling to hit even the U.S. TRIALS standard, much less Olympic qualifying times.
"Get your drool bucket"
Wheating and Manzano should do a remake of Twins starting DeVito and Schwartzenegget.
MEAD?
What the actual fvck just happened
Wheating craps out with a 3:38.60, ran like a 1550....
Leo DFL 3:43.86 :-( Really poor showing.
