Who?
Lawi Lalang, as well.
Brett Robinson, too.
I pound my wife all the time. So?
The last 300m on pure hate. That guy he shoved spurted ahead, but then locked up like a corpse exactly a lap later.
The Aussie who came 2nd also made the standard. [quote]Ouray Chalet wrote
lol troublemaker. Luke mathews tries to move past on the inside with no room and nudges the guy over, then gregson gets the effects and protects his space agressively. Bascally the "troublemaker" got shoved around by two guys.
I'm a friend of the 'troublemaker' (I train with him) so I might be a bit biased.
The Aussies were just being arrogant. Going as far as needing to say "f*ck you man!" during the race. (Mind you, I understand it's all in the heat of the race; but still; the shoving was totalled uncalled for, so was the swearing) The 'troublemaker' still pr'd during the race; he ran pretty well. Rather see someone go hard and try to get a great time. Die 100 metres later and he'd have run 2 seconds faster.
Anyway, don't take my word for it; watch the race and judge for yourself:
(includes an interview with Ryan Gregson)
Shoving happening at about the 2:08 mark in that race video.
All in all though, The Aussies will only remember running the Oly standard; the Dutch guy won't care as long as he runs the qualifying standard for Europeans (3:39.00; ran 3:39.14 this race) somewhere else in the next month (which is very much in the cards according to him) so not really a big deal in the end.
was going to edit my post but seems impossible (I should really register xD)
But yeah, my apologies; didn't realize the tweet had the video embedded in it.

You are.
Also, you must have been watching a different 1500 to me, he was boxed in with 600 to go and clearly made a move that could have taken down a number of runners. With that amount of distance to go to the finish there was no urgency to do what he did.
Nothing arrogant about saying to a dangerous idiot "f*ck you man!", if he'd done it to me I would have given him a shove off the track while telling him 'feck off idiot', perhaps you can tell him that on my behalf next time you see your friend.
Good aggressive racing by both parties. Nice to see. Keep up the good work.
this is European racing, not that PC crap that you yanks are used to.
Gregson should have been DQ'd for that stupid move.

What stupid move, holding his ground because some idiot got himself boxed and wanted to move out on him with 600 to go?
Greyson pounds Mathews every night.
Shocker...a bunch of Aussies spouting off at the mouth that will be fighting for the spot of 4th best non-African in the Rio.
Gregson loves being a big fish in a small pond.
Go to 6:20

Or else he got a bit overexcited after a good run following a horrid two years with injuries.
if this embarrasses you, your threshold is pretty low.
In any case, it hurt Gregson more than helped him. The "unknown" got propelled forward.
No biggie, race on.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
