Yes, the flat wooded loop on the Mason Farm Preserve is as nice as ever, with some new decking installed over a trail section that crosses some wetlands. Apparently some bird watchers recently complained about groups of runners making too much noise and disturbance in the Preserve, so we're on notice to be more mindful of the ornithologists and their special needs. I presume the new track will be on the opposite side of Mason Farm Rd., where the soccer practice fields (and XC course start/finish) have been. For the past couple of seasons, the gate between the soccer fields and the XC trails around the Finley Golf Course has been locked almost all of the time, which eliminated a favorite training loop. Let's hope this gets reopened if there's a track nearby. Also, the hillier sections of the Finley XC trails have seen a lot of erosion from heavy rains, and they're not getting much upkeep -- probably because UNC rarely has home meets anyway.

The NCAA asked me to ask you, "Why do you hate America?" They did so much for you with funding your money-losing T&F sport with their broadcast revenue ball sports and now you launch false rumors on some Internet forum.
Don't lump us in with those slime ball schools. A couple revenue athletes took a few easy classes. Not a big deal.
How can NCAA & Power 5 schools defend amateurism when these easy or no-show classes verify that these athletes are bought in to play football/basketball. Why can't Buddy Hield get endorsement deals, when his coaches do?
