Although Tim Ritchie is deservedly recognized as the exception to BC's track success, a scan of results show many others who improved in their 4 years. I suspect a number of these walk ons benefited from the experience and added to their college experience. If they, or their families, are paying full boat to go to BC, and they contributed and grew in the sport, then good for them.
It would be an oversight to not mention Louis Serafini's accomplishments, including making the Trials and has shown continued improvement as a post grad.
Change will only come if the alum, especially those who show up for the golf tourney, put pressure on the AD and school president and contact their former teammates to do the same.
