Ches in the 5K and 10K.
Why does the 1500, steeple, and 10k barely have like 15 people in them each while the 5000 could be team scored like a cross country meet?
Conference is a no-scratch meet. If you scratch from the 1500, steeple or 10k you can't compete in anything else. Because the 5k is last it doesn't matter if you scratch so teams can enter anybody and everybody.
I'll be working at the meet and will try to live Tweet splits and results
Beware this thread may be cut!!!
Is there a live feed for this meet??

No. The meet will be on the Pac 12 network on tape delay.
It's on next Sunday - yes the 22nd of May - at 9 am.

He's certainly looking better already. He now has his regional qualifier...
Ouch for the Rosas.
Already the best PAC 12 meet the UW distance guys have ever had and Yorks hasn't even run yet.
Actually Yorks was the only man to qualify for the final in both 800/1500. Note that Haney and Fisher were eliminated.

Anyone there able to provide any idea of the 10k played out or how Cheserek looked? I'm still nervous after Futsum ran 27:52. Hoping for the best, but someone who is running 27:52 is not to be taken lightly.
Indeed, I was surprised that Haney didn't make it through, but these tactical preliminary rounds can be tricky. Vin always coached us to run them one race at a time (and not just assume that it's a preliminary round).

Although Ches should be able to handle a kick off a 27:52 pace as long as he's back to 100%...

It would make sense to worry if it were anyone BUT Futsum. I have no idea what's up with Futsum, but he has historically never been able to win when it counts. He's effectively the Asafa Powell of the NCAA.
