If any of you did a little research instead of resorting to bashing transgender individuals, you would know this story is a bunch of bull.

The biographer is trying to attract attention and sell his book. Caitlyn has told sources that she is struggling because of her attraction to women. As a devout christian, she believes same-sex relationships are sinful. However, that does not mean she is transitioning back. I'm not saying she is a good human being (I dislike her intensely), but you are attacking her for the wrong reasons. Attack her for the fact that she killed a person with her car, or that she opposes homosexuality when that is an important part of the community that she supposedly is the new face of. There are many things to dislike about her, but don't attack her because you can't understand the transgender community.

Honestly, you sound like a bunch of 40-50 year old men bitter with your lives and the inability to keep up with an evolving world. The comments here are despicable.

Actually, being transgender does not affect your sexuality. Transgender people can be straight, bi, or gay. Unfortunately, Caitlyn identifies as a woman, but is a lesbian.. which she just can't accept because of her religion. That's what she's struggling with right now. Here's another answer as to why a transgender individual may keep their own genitals:

Because she liked women before the transition, and she still likes women now. It doesn't affect your sexuality in that you don't automatically like a different sex just because you transitioned.

So, every man who likes woman, and likes dressing as a woman, can be transgender. Al they need some hormones and they can compete as woman, use the women's restrooms, and shower with women who must accept the penis because that is how it is. If she identifies as a woman, and is attracted to women, then yes she is a lesbian. Genitals play no part in this. As I said before, surgery is a costly and risky procedure with many drawbacks (loss of sensation). It's up to the individual to weigh the pros and cons.

That is actually one of the bigger problems plaguing the LGBT community. Obviously I don't have an answer to it, but I know that fighting or prohibiting individuals who identify as the opposite sex is wrong. These are people who struggle their entire lives, and you're trying to say that what they are feeling isn't real. None of you have the right to say that the issues facing transgender people are imaginary. It's similar to how liking the same gender is not a choice. It's a part of them and it's what they've known their entire lives. They go through years of therapy, electrolysis, hormones, bullying, and doubt...and in the end they still have to use a washroom that is designated for the sex that they don't identify with? They have to go through the extremely expensive and risky surgery before they can truly be accepted for who they are? What if they can't afford it?

The government is struggling right now with the bathroom debate as well. It's a hotly contested debate as you can guess. I suggest you read up more on the issues concerning transgender people or just people different from yourself in general. Yes there may be some people who abuse it and pretend to be the opposite sex, but I guarantee there are far more people who are in dire need of being accepted for who they truly are. They should not have to live their entire lives a lie because people like you cannot open their minds to the possibility that there are people different from themselves.
