We will probably see a tactical 1500m. The stadium is enclosed, and athletes have never been afraid to et after it in Doha, but we'll see.
32 degrees is 89 fahreinheit.

Women’s Shot Put: Tia Brooks’ Breakout Year Continues
Brooks threw a 37-centimeter PR of 19.37 in her second meet of the season on April 21 and tied that mark by upsetting World Indoor champ Michelle Carter at Drake last weekend. She soared even higher tonight in Doha, PR’ing in the second and third rounds to claim her first Diamond League victory with a winning throw of 19.48.
i was closer than vent....43.3 haha ok vent, i said 44.2-3 and he runs 44.41
he got dragged to his 44.2 cause james rolled out a fast time. but what do i know? vent has all his hard math and wejo and rojo delete my comments and dont do anything to vent and his insults when you disagree with him
Did anyone else notice just how much thinner than last year Makwala is?

not as much as vent gets when you dont agree with his fantasy times, he will call you all the insulting and offensive names he can come up with...so i try to fight back when he goes on his rants and my comments get deleted.
he claims jim ryun should have run 3:24 in the 1500m, claims merrit was going to run 43.3 today, how kiprop can run 1:39 in the 800 etc etc etc....and its all in his hard math. you disagree with him and he insults you, you try to defend yourself you get insulted more and then your comment gets deleted...im not butthurt just calling it like it is
Men's 400m:
Merritt looked like he might be challenged at the start of the homestretch but held on for the victory in 44.41 over Machel Cedenio of Trinidad and Tobago.
Merritt ran quicker last week at Drake where he ran 44.22 but lost to Kirani James. Cedenio who won in Stockholm last year got a season's best in second. Subpar runs by Santos (4th at Worlds last year) and Makwala (5th)

Women’s 100: Torie Bowie Smokes a 10.80
The Ivory Coast’s Murielle Ahoure got the best start but this one came down to 2015 U.S. champ Tori Bowie and 200 world champ Dafne Schippers of the Netherlands. Schippers closed incredibly hard but not hard enough to defeat Bowie, who took advantage of the warm conditions and slight tailwind (0.7) to tie her PR at 10.80. Schippers wound up second in 10.83, just .02 off her best.

This is the thread now?
1500m on the line. 1:53 and 2:48 scheduled
Fast through 300: 40:41, officially 54.83 at the lap split.
And for true athletics fans (and fantasy DL nerds)
Caterina Ibarguen wins a fantastic battle in the triple jump over Rojas by jumping 15.04 wind legal! Rojas 14.92. The two traded leads multiple times, all world leads and meeting records.
2012 Gold Medalist rypakova takes 3rd 14.61
Two rabbits and Kiprop away. Kiprop knows he is head and shouders above the rest, and that he can fly and die and still win. They have 15m on the field, going through 800m in 1:51.34
Kiprop still with a pacemaker, but going around with 500m to go.
30m on the field, 2:34-35 with a lap to go, 2:49.54 through 300m
Kiprop obliterates the field in a noble effort at a fast time. runs 3:32.16, closing in 56.90.
First rabbit really annihilated any chance at a good time, but good to see that Kiprop went after it instead of playing the waiting game.
hahaha again vent what happened? you claimed kiprop would run 3:27 hahahahahaha, what did i say? 3:31-32
but but but wait what do i know?
Meanwhile I'm an idiot for not picking Sandi Morris on my fantasy team.
She's vaulted 4.83 so far, WL and MR. Outdoor PB I believe.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead

Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
