This along with one other post were the only things worth reading/true on letsrun.... and I have probably spent a total of about 1 hour reading letsrun stuff.

POW? I'm humbled. And I mean that in a way that accentuates my magnificence.
Square inches? Yes, as scientists, we know that. But as artists (how else would we characterize a POW troll posting author and those who recognize his work's beauty?) we take license to ride the wave of confusion presented by the linked story. Inches? Now that expands the story-telling canvas. 9 inches? Open to misinterpretation as reference to genitalia. Divisible by 3. Ripe for insult.

Which of your LRC-posting friends have been so kind to triple-team her?
Now that's poetry on top of poetry.

How stupid are you? All of you posters ALWAYS complain about how our sport never gets attention but when someone does get the sport some media attention, you all attack him! ONLY 21k? Whats your salary Bill Gates? I'd be willing to bet he just made about a third of it and all he has to do is wear a temporary tattoo for 1 minute and 45 seconds 4 or 5 times this summer. You can call him 'desperate' but most people would do that. You people are the most hypocritical people I have ever seen in my life, and honestly you people serve as a reflection why our sport is dying. The closest thing we have to "fans" are a bunch of stuck up pricks who wish they were good enough to run professionally so you hate on anyone who does it successfully.
So do i get my money back if he fails to make the final or does not make the team or just plain sucks through the season. Given his current form I question the investment.
Why would you get your money back? What money? You didn't win the bid. The contract was clearly stated on the auction page. The winning bidder knows exactly what his risks are, not that he cares. The winning bidder was the CEO of T-Mobile, so $20K is nothing to him. He just wants to support T&F. Also note that T-Mobile is not the winner - the CEO as a private individual is - and he was asking people what he should make Nick wear on his arm.

You have to be desperate to tattoo your shoulder for only $21k. Pretty sad.
What?? Broseph is killing it. Welcome to Pro track and field.
Most of the athletes going to Rio will do it on credit cards.
sure, nick is very into himself...but you can't argue that he's fighting for a good cause. USOC/USATF are your run-of-the-mill corrupt sports entities and he's trying to make a difference which i do admire. He might just have a weird, conceited way of doing it.
John might celebrate our old school if Nick would allow UMASS on his arm.

Our sport consists of 90% wannabes. The other 10% are Olympic Medal contenders. Of that 90% you have some of the most volatile people to walk the earth.
10% of our sport is Olympic contenders? I am 120% sure you are wrong.

It was a rhetorical question to open debate idiot, of course Im not the winning bidder.
The CEO at T-Molbile is an ego maniac that fits perfectly with Nick. Private individual? Are you joking or just stupid? He is self described as bombastic, animated and foul mouthed..
That said I like his interest and support of track and field.

I'm sorry bro .005%. Rest are loser wannabes that frequent message boards.
is it really good for the sport that some gadfly rich-guy track fan bought it essentially in order to make a donation rather than someone taking this seriously as an economically reasonable advertising opportunity
someone relatedly, i worry for the sport that post-uncle phil nike won't be pouring money down the drain supporting track anymore
Why would you want to start a debate over something that was already established in fact ? What's next, should we debate whether the Earth is flat ? Does gravity exist? Does the sun set in the west ? The contract was posted directly on the auction page. And, you asked if YOU would get YOUR money back. You didn't put any money into it. Words matter. And, you clearly don't understand the difference between what a private individual is (CEO of T-Mobile) compared to a corporate entity (T-Mobile). I didn't mean "private individual" as a description of his personality, brainiac. But thanks for playing.

Who was national champ last year?
Who lied about the USATF and was kicked off the worlds team and then didn't race the rest of the year even outside of worlds?
It would be Nick the bum and his horrible company run gum.

B-I-N-G-O
10 races on a schedule does not mean they will reflect reality. Will anyone be able to see that tiny thing on TV anyway?
Nick doesn't have nine inches.
